Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.
The Yakima FullBack lets you carry up to 2 bicycles on your vehicle's trunk or hatch. The rack has adjustable arms that provide safe, level transport of your bikes. The arms feature SuperCush anti-sway cradles with ratcheting ZipStrip straps for easy bike loading and unloading. It installs with 4 cam-buckle straps and an interlocking HUB with vehicle-specific settings. It includes locks to secure bikes to the rack and the rack to your trunk, and it folds flat for compact storage in your trunk or garage.
SuperCush Anti-Sway Cradles with Ratcheting ZipStrip Straps
The rack has premium SuperCush anti-sway cradles that help to prevent bike-to-bike contact during transport. And the integrated TPE padding absorbs road shock and vibration to protect your bike frames.
The cradles also include ratcheting ZipStrip straps that make loading and unloading your bikes a breeze. Simply insert the strap into the buckles on the cradle and push it down until it's snug around your bike frame. The ZipStrips can be removed quickly by pressing the release levers on the sides of each anti-sway cradle.
Folding Dual Arms
The FullBack's dual arms provide excellent stability for your bikes. Integrated dials on each side of the rack let you adjust the arms to ensure your bikes are level during transport and to help improve ground clearance.
These dials also allow you to quickly fold the arms down when you're not carrying any bikes. This is great for parking in places where space is limited such as a parking garage. And it enables you to store the rack compactly in your trunk or garage.
4-Strap Installation with Interlocking HUB
The FullBack installs quickly and easily on your trunk or hatch with an interlocking HUB and 4 cam-buckle straps. The interlocking HUB includes a dial with vehicle-specific installation settings. Simply turn the dial to the number specified for your vehicle and place the rack on your trunk or hatch. Information on obtaining your specific setting can be found in the rack's installation instructions.
Four strap hooks attach the rack to your trunk. The hooks are labeled to make setup a breeze and to ensure the rack is properly anchored. Additionally, the hooks are designed to work with glass hatches without adapters.
To secure the rack, simply attach the 4 hooks and pull the straps tight through the integrated cam buckles.
Rubber retainers are included so you can bundle excess strap length to keep it from flapping against your trunk.
Complete Security
The FullBack includes locks to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your trunk. The integrated cable lock extends from the front of the right arm, wraps around your bikes, and secures to a post built into the arm.
A steel-reinforced security cable secures the rack. The cable attaches to the rack base and threads through your locked trunk.
Integrated Bottle Opener
An integrated bottle opener on the end of the left arm allows you to enjoy a cold one after a long ride.

Since this rack is delivered completely assembled it was easy to install on my 2018 Rav4. As per the instructions, which are excellent, I set the hub to 4, and the upper strap does not put pressure on the spoiler. I attached the trunk security strap to the bottom of the rack, changed the bottom hook to the anchor position, and closed the trunk, then re-attached the strap to the rack. I haven't used the rack yet to go biking, but it is a solid, easy to use, nice looking rack. I recommend this product.

After 1 year of using this rack I am very satisfied with it. It holds tight & doesnt rattle or vibrate.
Its mounted on a 2016 Rav4, I have taken many 200+ mile trips on Interstates with no problems whatsoever very easy to put on and take off, extremely sturdy and secure, I am very happy with this product.
Easy to attach and detach. Holds my bike well. My issue is the provided lock is only good for the mount which typically holds the second bike. If you ride solo, the instructions state to mount the bike closest to the vehicle, which has no provided lock. How they overlooked this is beyond me. 3 stars at best for this major oversight.

I reached out to Yakima and they told me you can carry the bike where needed to lock it.
Bought the Yakima rack for my new 2018 Stinger. I very carefully and correctly attached this rack to my car and transported my bike on a 5 hour trip. The rack (not the bike) seriously blemished the paint on the lower portion of the trunk including chipping the paint. My advice to Stinger owners is to avoid this rack.

Any time a piece of equipment is mounted to a vehicle and is in direct contact with the painted surface, the possibility exists that the paint could be damaged. There are a few primary reasons why this can happen. 1 Grit or dirt can get caught in between the painted surface and the portion of the rack that touches the vehicle. Be sure that the padded surface of the rack and the portion it touches are completely free of dirt and grit. A good coat of quality car wax in the area can offer additional protection. 2 The rack was installed incorrectly. This doesnt sound like the case here, but its recommended that the instructions be read over several times and followed to the letter. The instructions are written in such a way that the weight of the bikes and the rack are distributed in such a way that is least likely to damage the vehicle. 3 The weight capacity of the rack is exceeded. The rack can carry a total of 70 lbs, with neither bike weighing more than 35 lbs. 4 We recommend removing the rack when its not in use. The safest way to go is to install a hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack. That way, nothing will be in direct contact with a painted surface.

After buying a 2017 Toyota RAV 4 I was faced with the dilemma of a new bike rack that fit my car without destroying the spoiler on the back hatch. etrailer made it easy to find the correct rack for my car. This rack works perfectly for this car without doing damage to the spoiler. It is heavy duty and I have had so many comments about what a great bike rack it is from people who knew of my concerns about finding a rack for this car.

Unfortunately not so good. The bike rack did not damage the spoiler but it did scratch, dent and crack the paint on the back of my car. I would not recommend this bike rack at all.

Took a while to get it, and use it immediately - it's as awesome as described. The video on etrailer.com is very insightful, and further clarifies some of the ambiguities of the instruction booklets. Yakima web site also has videos and some online guidance to help you along.
The rack works as expected on my Audi Q5 and it's pretty sturdy. I was driving in local road and hwy - there are no shaking whatsoever. Very happy with the quality of the product.
My order was late (as with a lot of things this year) and etrailer added a personal touch to have someone (not a robot) inform me of my order weekly. While it doesn't make the order goes any faster, it's good to see what somebody cares about each customer. +1 there

Still works very well after a year. The product is well built, and have no had any problems so far. Just be sure you use it within spec - install all the belts and locks appropriately and dont go over the weight limits.

I misplaced the end bar used to lock the bikes onto the rack. Can I buy another one?

Excellent bike mount track. Hold my two bikes and is very sturdy on the roads. Easy to install and uninstall for traveling needs. Very satisfied with the performance of this product. They even shipped it out early for me!
It is great! I was frustrated by the difficulty of working the wheels that lower/raise the bike support struts. It is difficult to turn the wheels but I will live with it. The "Fullback" fits tight and is solid. My bike does not vibrate or move around at all as my last carrier did. I did not want to pay for an expensive trailer hitch install and did not like the looks so the Yakima Fullback got me right to what I need-- easy install, load my bike and go!
This rack is very sturdy and easy to put on and off. A point was deducted for 2 reasons.
1) The top hooks needed to convert to the anchor mode for my car due to attaching to glass, but did not sit well in the small area inside the hatch opening. A better solution that also worked here is the optional Hatch Huggers from Saris.
2) The included bike lock cable in only long enough to loop around the outer bike position. If you only have a single bike installed on the inner position, you will have to provide a separate cable and lock. Another hitch rack that I have on my other vehicle has a cable that loops all bikes.

Yes it fits, yes it seems to be of good quality construction. However super disappointed after purchasing, receiving, installing, and then I go to put my bike on and turns out I need an ADDITONAL item to make my bike fit: a “tube top”, which is for “funky” shaped bikes, aka WOMENS bikes (slanted top bar). Nothing like another pink tax. Considering returning, I paid $300 for this thing for my very normal bike to not mount properly without additional gear.
First, etrailers.com is the BEST! Okay, this rack is amazing. If it was made in the U.S.A, I believe it would be closer to $ 800.00+, it's not, thus the incredible price point, imo. Incredible craftmanship, sturdy, versatile, nice to look at, as well. Very detailed instructions included. Fits my 2015 Prius 4 perfectly. Our beach cruises both required adaptor bars. I opted to wait on the bike rack, to ensure a good fit, etc. then purchase the adaptor bars. After much research, I went with Delta adaptors, I wish etrailers.com carried them, but they do not. Nevertheless, this rack is tops, highly recommend. Thank you for reading!

That's probably a good thing. The rack has a 35 lb per bike weight capacity, so it isn't a great choice for heavy e-bikes.
This rack is sturdy and install easily. First bike rack I've purchased and am pleased with the rack.
A little bit of learning curve starting out, but this is a great bike rack, does not damage my vehicle, and is very sturdy holding the bike.
I purchase a more expensive (different brand) bike rack prior to the Yakima Fullback 2 bike rack and boy am i glad i switched them out. The Yakima is so easy to use and set up on my SUV. It is very easy to use with the built in controls, and it has a built in bottle opener. Customer service was also awesome to work with.
