Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this etrailer 12 foot long e-track wheel tie down straps with the roller idler and the ratchet. Has a 1,333 pound working load limit. And this is for a quantity of two straps. Now, these e-track tire straps use the roller idlers, and this will let you secure a vehicle to your trailer.
The spring loaded fittings here on the strap and the roller clip into the e-track slots. Now, the e-track I'm demonstrating this on is sold separately. It is not included, as is the tire and wheel combination here. I'm just trying to show you how the strap, one of the straps, looks when it's installed onto the e-track and the tire wheel of the vehicle. Now, the ratcheting tire strap comes with this roller idler we talked about, which allows you to move the ratchet away from the vehicle.
So, it's a lot easier to tighten down the strap. There's no need to crawl under your vehicle to tighten the ratchet. It positions, you can see at the base of the tire, to serve as a third anchor point for the strap, and helps keep tension on the strap. So, what's nice is your ratchet is out here to where it's easy to operate. Usually, on a lot of these, you'll have a ratchet down here.
Trying to tighten it is pretty hard to do. So here, the idler, it'll let us stretch out, and you have the ratchet right here. Makes it very easy to operate. You can see just like this, and then you just tighten it how you need it. Now, also included on the strap is three rubber pads.
And I do want to zoom in on those to show you what we're talking about. If you notice these rubber pads, there's one here, one down here, and one right here. These rubber pads have raised rubber grips on them. You can see the two here. And then on the underside there's two. And they insert into the tread grooves of the tire to hold the strap in place, so the strap doesn't slide off. And then, what's also nice about, if you look down here along the strap, you can see this little extra piece that they've added on, these strap pieces help keep the pads in place. So, these pads don't all slide together, keep them separate. And they have these all along here. Very nice feature. Now, the ratchet strap secures your tire in place. The sturdy ratchet right here helps you achieve and maintain maximum tension on the strap. Has a release lever. Right now it's in the safety lock position. So, if you pull this release lever, it'll release it, and then you put it in your ratchet position, and then you can ratchet as tight as you need it. Once you get it as tight as you need it, then just pull up, go all the way down, and that locks it, so keeps that handle from shaking loose. Now, the other feature is, if you go totally the opposite way, 180 degrees all the way down here, you'll notice, when I go into that position, it releases it. So, that allows you to free wheel as much strap as you need. And then, once you get as much strap as you need, just put it back into the ratchet position. And then as you can see, you can ratchet it as tight as you need it. Once you get it as tight as you need it, put it back in the locked position and then you're all ready to go. So, it's simple installation, simple operation. Now, the strap on this, it is a two inch wide, durable polyester webbing, which is abrasion resistant. It's sort of like a seatbelt material. The roller idler we talked about and the ratchet are all rust resistant. You can see, they have a nice, zinc coating on them. Now, a few specs on this. The quantity, as we've mentioned, is for two ratchets straps. We have one installed, and then one sitting out here. And it comes with the roller idlers. Application, this will work on horizontal or vertical e-track and x-track. Strap dimension, two inches wide. 12 feet long for each one. Now, the maximum load or brake strength on the straps is 4,000 pounds per strap. But what you wanna make sure you know is the safe working load limit. That's the important thing. On each strap, its 1,333 pounds. And when I say the working load limit, tie down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to that safe working load limit. Basically, the weight of your secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps that are being used. So, for example, if you're using straps with a working load limit left, say, of about 500 pounds each, and you're tying down a load weighing a thousand pounds, then you're gonna need two straps to safely secure that load. And they do always recommend that you use straps in pairs. Now, this part number is for the two straps. We also sell it with two straps and a storage bag. That's part number E62NR. Or if you just need an extra strap, we do sell it as a quantity of one. It's part number E96HR. Both of those items are shown on this product page as a related product. But that should do it for the review on this ratcheting, on this etrailer 12 foot long e-track wheel tie down straps with the roller idlers and the ratchets.

The E track and tie down straps work great to secure our JD Gator in the enclosed trailer for our Fire Department
Great product. I use it for anchoring rear tire on Can Am Spyder in trailer. Couldn’t ask for any better for the job. Also etrailer always provides great service and follow up.
Very nice product. The spacing/locations of the black sleeves on the tire straps that interact with the tire treads were too far apart to effectively catch a 15 inch auto tire properly. I did find a work-around by slipping the two outer black sleeves past the doubled sew layer, and inward farther on the tire strap. Nice heavy duty ratchet. The roller idler is a very nice addition to a heavy wear-point on the straps.
These straps make strapping the car down by yourself very easy. No more crawling under the car to do so. First time I used them it took me about 10 minutes in an enclosed trailer to have the car completely secure. Highly recommend getting these.
The straps worked exceptionally well and were easy to use.
Great product
Very well as advertised. Impressed.
