Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello, neighbor. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a Smart Strap Ratchet-X Tie-Down Strap with Double J Hooks. It's gonna be a two inch wide strap by 27 feet long and the safe working low limit is 3,333 pounds. Now you're gonna get one quantity one of these ratchet straps. I'm gonna go ahead and leave this whole 27 foot coiled up here the way it comes from the manufacturer just so you can kind of see it and you got the double J hook here.
It's been coated for an extra coating to make it resistant to rust, corrosion and those kind of things. Now the ratcheting part itself, same thing, you got the double webbing and everything's been super stitched tightly. The J hook, again, zinc coated. The whole mechanism here has a nice rubberized grip handle here, here and even covering the the nut mechanism here on the ratcheting part itself. So if you've never used these, pretty simple, you gotta spring loaded lever down here, this main one here and all these knots in this cog when you're tightening, (mechanism clicking) they're ratcheting and pulling that strap around tighter and tighter as it winds.
Now, when you get so tight and you need to undo it, you're gonna lift this spring loaded lever and that's gonna release the notches and put 'em back here in the back and if you pull this one down, then you could technically take that strap and free spool this middle guy back out, so when you're pulling the strap, it would automatically twist. So very nice, simple design. It's been around for years. This again is the Smart Strap Ratchet-X Tie-Down Strap. I'm Steven.

These straps are just an excellent value, and the 14ft length makes them more useable than the shorter 10 footers I currently use.
