Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the etrailer 10 foot long Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps with the S-hooks and a 700 pound working load limit, and this part number is for a quantity of two straps. Now, these are heavy-duty tie-down straps that'll let you secure cargo in your truck bed or your trailer. They do use the sturdy ratchet mechanism here, which we're gonna zoom in on, makes it really easy to tighten down your strap and maintain tension on the strap, you can see it easily cranks to tighten up your strap. The handle on this is a nice, wide, hard rubber handle, gives you a nice good grip even if you're wearing gloves. And right down here, this is a release lever that you pull up on, has also a little hard rubber edge on that, but that release lever will disengage your ratchet when you're ready to unload.
So basically, if you pull up on that and rotate it all the way that way and lock it into place, you'll be able to see that you can pull out as much strap as you need. Once you get out as much strap as you need and you hook it up, and then you're gonna go tighten it, put it back into the ratchet position. And just like that, you can see you can go ahead and ratchet as much as you need. Now, the hooks on each end, they are vinyl-coated S-hooks. You can see they have the nice spring loaded keeper on them, which helps keep the strap attached to your anchor point, and the vinyl coating on these, all the black portion is vinyl coated to prevent your gear from being scratched.
Now, the webbing or the strap on this, it is a two inch wide durable polyester webbing, which is abrasion resistant, sort of like a seatbelt material. It is a nice bright yellow color, makes it very easy to see in day or night. Now, the quantity on this, as we mentioned, this is for two ratchet straps. The strap dimensions is two inch wide by 10 foot long. Maximum load or brake strength is 2,100 pounds per strap, and the safe working load limit of that strap would be a third of that, which is 700 pounds.
Now, one note I do wanna mention is that tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to that safe working load limit. So basically, the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps that are being used. So just to give you an example, if you're using straps that have a working load limit of 500 pounds each and you're tying down a load that weighs 1,000 pounds, then you're gonna need at least two straps to safely secure that load. And it is usually recommended that you always use straps in pairs. But that should do it for the review on the etrailer 10 foot long Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps with the S-hooks and the 700 pound working load limit.
