A long day in and out of the vehicle calls for access that doesn't depend on one entry method working perfectly every time. The biometric locking system gives you fingerprint access, and the steel locking system includes keypad and hard key override access for backup. The biometric system runs on two AAA batteries (not included), so you have multiple ways to open the safe and retrieve what you stored before heading to the next stop.
A loose storage box can slide, get moved, or turn into the first thing someone notices once they look inside the cabin. The seat-locking mechanism secures the safe to the seat, and the heavy-duty steel construction uses an 18-gauge body with a 16-gauge door around the storage compartment. Once installed on the passenger seat, the safe has a fixed location the driver can reach from the front seat, and stored items go back into the same secured spot each time.
When the goal is short-term storage, the compartment needs to fit the item you brought without turning the front cabin into a catch-all. The safe has 6" tall x 3-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" long interior dimensions and can hold a full-size pistol, with padded interior lining to reduce movement and rattling during travel. Your firearm or smaller valuables sit in a defined padded space, and the rest of the cabin stays free of loose items while you drive.
Replacing only one headrest can make the front seats look mismatched, which can draw the eye even when the storage itself is meant to stay subtle. The bundle includes a companion headrest to match the driver seat. The front seats continue to look like they belong together, and the storage location draws less attention when someone looks through the windows.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look together at the Headrest Safe car safe set, in a leatherette finish in dark gray. So folks, if you carry valuables in your vehicle, whether it's a pistol, passport, jewelry, et cetera, you know, electronics, keeping those important items secure without sacrifice and quick access or interior space is a must. And do we put 'em in the lockable glove box and we know people can just bust in if they really wanna get in there, what do we do with them, right So, instead of hiding 'em under a seat, put 'em in a headrest that's hidden. It's a nice safe set that's gonna be hidden. One is just a headrest while the other one is truly a safe.
Now, starting off on the bottom of these, these are universal. This set here is gonna fit most small SUVs, those kind of things. You can slide these two when you're setting it up, left or right, to match the footprint of the two pins. And then you have these different spacers depending on which size you need that can be used here in conjunction with the rods to fill in any gaps and truly give it an OE experience. I'm gonna come around here to the front just so we can see this a little better.
So, the safe has a magnetic door and just like that, now we can see the safe. Now this knob comes from the factory on here. There's two little set screws, one on each side that is actually hiding where the key goes. And then you have a keypad here and a biometric entry. This does run on three, I'm sorry, two AAA batteries, not included, as well that you will need to power that up.
But, so once we get the knob off, then we can unlock it. And now I have access to the safe. And like I mentioned before, it can carry a full size pistol. They do give you this insert as well. I just left it out.
That fits in there perfectly. And then the barrel of your pistol would sit on there and keep it nice and safe. But as you can see, you can fit a lot of stuff in there, whether it's your phone, wallet, keys, those kind of things. Passport, jewelry, I can tuck 'em in here. It's padded, so it's not gonna get broken or damaged or anything. And then whenever I got it sealed up, I can just quickly pop it up. And then again, now it looks just like a normal headrest and no one's the wiser, right So, pretty innovative idea, I think. I like it. It's not that big as far as like, you know, super large items. But again, it can fit a full size pistol, your passports, electronics, sensitive material and whatnot. So, like medicines and whatnot. So again, this is a great option for you. Maybe you're going to a building where you're not allowed to bring those things in. You can quickly lock it up. Maybe you're at a sports event or you know, who knows what, farmer's market, et cetera. You can lock those items up and keep them safe and out of the way. And it is a nice, durable, quality, heavy duty steel construction. And as you can see, it's wrapped in this dark gray cloth. So, that's gonna be an advantage of, again, keeping everything looking nice and neat and clean. So, if you're looking for a safe that's hidden outta the way, this is the headrest safe in dark gray.
