Question:
Are the S-hook straps strong enough for my pair of 450cc dirt bikes in the back of my Tacoma, or should I bump up to the heavier sets?

Hey Denise, the S-hook Ratchet Strap Kit # e92NR is actually a great fit for dirt bikes - each strap has a 700-lb working load limit, so a set of four gives you plenty of capacity for two bikes as long as you use proper tie-down points. The nice part is the S-hooks have keepers on them, so they don’t hop out of bed anchors the way open hooks sometimes can.
If you were hauling something heavier like a side-by-side, I’d nudge you toward the double-J kit # e42SV or even the flat-hook # e72SV, but for dirt bikes the # e92NR set is right where you want to be.
What type of tie-down points does your Tacoma have - the deck rail system with moveable anchors, or the factory loop tie-down points? Also, what bike do you have? I've had quite a few dirtbikes.

I’ve got the factory loops in the bed, not the rail system. Bikes are a Yamaha 450 and a Honda 250.
