The Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly takes the hassle out of climbing in and out. Powered by a 12V motor and control unit, the steps extend automatically when the door opens and retract when it closes. A built-in switch kit lets you lock them in the extended position when parked. With an 8" rise and a 24" wide x 11-1/8" deep tread, the three-step design gives you a natural stair feel and a solid footing every time.
Navigating in low light is safer thanks to the integrated amber incandescent light that automatically comes on when the steps extend. Each tread has a non-slip surface with reflective strips that help you see exactly where to step after dark. The ignition override keeps you protected by automatically retracting the steps when the engine starts, preventing accidental damage while driving.
Built from powder-coated steel, the 25 Series step assembly resists rust and road wear. Solid steel drive rods, stainless steel bushings, and air-pressed rivets at pivot points add long-term durability. The weatherproof wiring and connectors hold up against rain and dirt, while the sturdy frame supports up to 300 lbs without flexing.
If the steps hit an obstacle during extension, the motor senses it and automatically retracts to avoid damage. The control unit coordinates power to the step motor and light through a 4-way plug that connects to the existing harness. A 10A control circuit and 12 AWG power lead deliver reliable operation every time you open the door.
The mounting plate measures 23-3/4" wide x 11-3/8" deep with a 25-1/2" overall width and a folded height of 9-7/8". It’s ready to bolt up using the standard 22" wide x 8" deep pattern found on many installations. The complete kit includes the motor, control unit, switch kit, light, and a 4-way plug, so you have everything you need to wire and operate your new steps right out of the box.

Product delivered as scheduled. Package was beat up pretty well, but the steps appear to be unharmed. The steps are a replacement for the existing steps that were damaged.

The steps were great. Had trouble with the polarity for the automatic steps. Lipert said they changed the polarity of the switch. Would have been nice to know. Otherwise all went well

I am pleased with the steps. They seemed to be light. I reinforces the floor and wall of my Rockwood RV. It helped. I use a support under the bottom step and is more stable.
replacement step,removed and installed new step in about 2 hours works GREAT!!!

Good Item,perfect fit
The packaging and handling of this product leaves a lot to be desired. The box was very damaged and the step paint and metal we're scratched in various places. Now I have to reach out to my customer to see if they're okay with that.
The steps have been trouble free since installed, good quality, easy install. Had a little trouble with damage during shipping, but Paul had another set shipped out right away and return shippping on the damaged set.
Loved the kwikee steps that I ordered and received from etrailer that were an exact match to my damaged ones thanks to my customer service representative Tammy she went above and beyond to make sure everything including shipping info and delivery date Was taken care of
We received the product, but the box was all to pieces, looked like a bomb went off in it. I hope that everything we bought, we got because the box was so torn up it was open, so anything could have fell out.

No modifications necessary
Steps arrived on our door step in badly beat up cardboard box.
Minimum damage to actual step unit. A few scratches, but tollerable.
Challenge was to remove the old unit. Lots of "liquid wrench" needed on the four nuts holding the old unit in place.
Needed strong assistant to manage the floor jack while positioning the new unit into place. Twenty-something sons are good for something after all :)
Definitely watch the videos on etrailer.com for tips on how to remove / install the unit.
Took 2 days of repeated administration of liquid wrench to be able to break the nuts free and uninstall the old steps. Be patient, you don't want to strip the nuts or you will never get the old steps off.
In my case (2005 Winnebago Adventurer) I did not need to install the new magnetic switch set, the existing system worked just fine.
Connected the 4 wire connector and everything worked fine. Exception is that the steps "on and off" switch is now reversed... I can live with that. I will relabel the toggle switch.
In my case the repair shop I usually use wanted $1600 just to Mickey Mouse a replacement motor into the original unit. With etrailer.com I spent $900 and about 4 hours of manual labor for a brand new step unit.
I would highly recommend this unit.

The steps were easy to install with all the original mounting points lining up perfectly. I unplugged the wiring from the old steps, removed the bolts and was ready to begin installing the new steps. With the aid of a jack, the new steps were lifted into place and the mounting bolts installed. Then I plugged in the wiring and the new steps worked perfectly. After a year of use, they are still working great.

Steps work great, very smooth. They were a little scratched up when received due to poor packaging but the product is wonderful.
Thanks for getting the steps here on time, there installed and we leave in two more days for a five week trip. They fit right in place of the broken set. The box they were shipped in was tore apart when they arrived, but everything was still OK. thanks again
