This replacement Kwikee 26 Series step includes the step, motor, and control unit so it extends automatically when the door opens and retracts when the door closes. The motor and gearbox work together to run smoothly on 12V power, and the included control ties the step and step light into the door circuit for simple operation every time.
The step is made from sturdy, powder-coated steel with solid steel drive rods and stainless steel bushings for long-term strength. Air-pressed rivets reinforce the pivot points, keeping movement tight and reliable. It handles up to 300 lbs without flexing, so you can step up confidently every time you use it.
A textured, non-slip tread and reflective strips improve footing even when the step is wet or dimly lit. The built-in amber incandescent light (C193 bulb) turns on automatically when the door opens, making the step easy to see at night and reducing the chance of slipping or missing a step.
An integrated safety system protects the step and your vehicle. If the step hits an obstacle while extending, it retracts immediately to prevent damage. When the ignition is started, the step automatically retracts even if the override switch is on—helping you avoid driving off with the step out.
This assembly fits existing Kwikee 26 Series mounting points with a 24-1/4" wide x 10" deep mounting plate and 20-1/2" x 7-1/2" bolt pattern. The step itself measures 23-1/2" wide x 9-7/8" deep with a 5" drop/rise, 7" extended height, and 7" folded height. It connects using a 4-way plug or the included 4-way pigtail for hardwiring.

This was installed on a '95 Gulf Stream. Everything worked great except the door magnet is now backwards (the stairs extend when the door is closed and retract when the door is open). A new magnet was ordered but has not been installed.
Every experience I've had with these down to earth people has been stellar. Shipping before you can hang the opine up and more knowledgeable of their product inventory than the manufacturers that make them.

This was a replacement for the original Kailee electric step that seized up. Install was straight forward but the mounting hole pattern was slighty different than the original. Installed replacement works as well as original
My old steps had been curbed twice and were beyond repair and eventually stopped working. I got to talk with Rob at e-trailer. He professionally listened to my questions and advised me on the correct set of Lippert Kwikee steps.
My order arrived one day earlier than promised. They were packed properly so there was not any damage during the shipping process. I did the installation myself as it didnt look to difficult. From start to finish it took about two hours to complete the installation and make electrical connections. It would have gone quicker but I had to “massage” the bolts that were slightly curb bent with a wood block and rubber mallet.
It was refreshing to deal with a company that has knowledgeable service reps and who seemed willing to make the ordering process as painless as possible!
E-trailer is my new “go-to” store in the future!

During an off-roading exercise with my 32' Jayco Greyhawk mobile home I seem to have destroyed the electric entry step. Not good. My bad. I visited the website at etrailer and found exactly what I was looking for in a model 26 step assembly. Actually there were three models available, all with some difference. In talking to Ashley, she directed me to the appropriate model of Kwikee step and I gave her my order. I removed the old broken step and installed the new assembly in a matter of moments. Two things, I have learned here, not to take my new RV off-roading, and secondly, it pays big time to visit with etrailer for products and prices as my local Jayco dealer quoted the step to me at $300.00 over etrailer's price and didn't have it on hand. Ashley, I'll be back, thank you very much.

Exactly the item I needed. It is exactly as the original item was. I have yet to install but should be a perfect fit and should line up with the original bolt holes and wiring.

The new step arrived when promised. Thank you etrailer team for using UPS instead of USPS. I removed the old step when the new one arrived. I installed the new step in about an hour, and it works perfectly. Looks just like the original.
Damaged Kwikee RV electric step was easy to remove. The new step was easy to install. Works like a champ. Next time I will try not to bottom out the RV leaving a gas station, power step first.

Perfect replacement step for my Class C. I ordered this one as it comes with new motor and logic module. I trashed my original step while driving somewhere I shouldn’t have, and the motor extending arm was worn out also. This one is a direct replacement and easy to install. Packaging was ok, shipment was on time. Good service on this purchase.
