Question:

Hello, I have a Newmar Mountainaire which Im looking for a replacement step. The gear teeth are worn and although the motor seems to be operating ok, it is about 18 years old. The currently install Step ASSY is made by COACH STEP INC. P/N: 725-0023. Do you have a compatible replacement step ASSY to will work? Looks to be 24 inches wide X 8 inches, with 3 steps.

The Kwikee 25 Series RV steps are a compatible replacement for a Coach Step P/N: 725-0023. The # LC369552 you were looking at would work but since it's a "replacement" kit it doesn't come with a new door sensor, which only works with specific steps. You could get done with your install and find that the door sensor isn't wired the same as this steps (either normally open or normally closed) and then not be able to get your steps to properly extend or retract.

I recommend getting the # LC3658373, which is only a bit more for a complete assembly that will have everything you need, including the correct door sensor. I do recommend picking up some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05745-10 to make sure your connections are waterproof.
