Question:

So I installed the The Kwikee 25 Series Steps # LC3658373 recommended by JON, they fit perfectly and then after troubleshooting fixed the first problem that they open and closed in the opposite what they were supposed to. However Now they close every time I close the door. I cant keep them down when I am parked and shut down, they retract every time the door closes.

Your Lippert Components Kwikee 25 Series Triple Electric Step # LC3658373 came with a manual override switch (see attached picture). Once the entire unit is installed you can use the manual override switch to keep the steps extended and ready for you to get back in your 2008 Forest River Georgetown. If you check out the attached review video you can see this is brought up at about the 1:10 minute mark.

I have also attached a clip from the installation instructions showing how the switch will be wired in. If you aren't able to locate your override switch then we have replacements available with part # LC379390.
