The motor and control on these Kwikee 25 Series steps sync with your door, so they extend when you open it and retract when you close it. There’s no need to remember to pull them in before driving—the ignition override automatically retracts the steps when the vehicle starts. With the included amber incandescent light, the treads are clearly visible at night for safer entry.
The all-steel construction with a durable powder coat finish stands up to road debris and bad weather. Solid steel drive rods, stainless steel bushings, and air-pressed rivets at the pivot points keep the movement smooth and strong over time. The steps have a 300 lb weight capacity and feel solid underfoot.
Each 24" wide by 11-1/8" deep step has a non-slip surface and reflective strips that make it easy to see where you’re stepping, even in low light. The amber light that comes on with the steps adds extra visibility after dark, so you can step up or down without worry.
These steps are designed for a natural climb, with an 8" rise between treads that feels like walking up regular stairs. They extend to 21-7/8" high and fold down to just 9-7/8", so they stay tucked away when not in use. The mounting plate measures 23-3/4" wide by 11-3/8" deep, and the bolt pattern is 22" wide by 8" deep for a solid fit.
Built-in safety sensors stop and retract the steps if they hit something while extending, helping prevent damage to the mechanism or nearby objects. The control unit is weatherproof and wired with 12V power at 10 amps using 12 and 16 AWG leads, giving you reliable operation every time you open the door.

The step is everything i wanted. The tracking of the product is excellent. The box the step came in was completely destroyed that proves steel is stronger than cardboard the step unharmed.

really.. I would expect more than thin corrugated cardboard to keep this 85 lb thing from rattling around in the box.

The packaging was absolutely destroyed but the stairs seemed fine.
After the installation the new stairs worked perfect.
This was for replacement stairs on a 2007 Jayco Seneca.

The box it ships with was pretty much unable to handle the weight and six but since the step assembly is 87 pounds and all steel, it was not an issue. Thanks etrailer.com.
We damaged the old steps beyond repair and had to remove them. That's a severe motorhome entrance/exit problem. Etrailer was great on the phone and shipped the new steps quickly. I installed and the steps are flawless. Thank you.
I would have given a five star but the box it was shipped in was so thin that it was falling apart when it got delivered.
There are several models of this step and it was confusing finding the right replacement. The videos showing how to remove the old step and install the new were great. The original model I purchased was not in stock but was supposed to be in stock in a week or two. After a week I received an update that my step would not be in stock for 4 to 5 months and suggesting another model that was not the same as the step I was replacing. After looking at the other models I ordered the model I found the correct replacement step at a slightly higher price and received it in 4 days. The box the step was delivered in was destroyed (see photo) but the steps were undamaged. My wife and I are 74 and thanks to the etrailer videos we were able to install the new steps. They are very heavy. Everything worked as expected.

after a year, the stairs have worked great, I do remember that when testing them on the ground, the wiring diagram had two wires reversed, this was easy to figure out and everything has worked fine since
