These steps open and close automatically using a 12V motor and control unit that tie into your door wiring. When the door opens, the steps extend; when it closes, they retract. The motor also pulls them in if they hit an obstacle and folds them up when the ignition turns on, so you don’t have to think about it. Everything works as one system for smooth, reliable entry every time.
The step frame is made from sturdy, powder-coated steel with weatherproof wiring that stands up to road grime and wet conditions. Solid steel drive rods, stainless steel bushings, and air-pressed rivets at pivot points keep the mechanism tight and strong through years of use. It’s a tough setup designed for constant movement and outdoor exposure.
Each of the three 24" wide x 11-1/8" deep steps has a non-slip surface and reflective strips so the edges are easy to see in low light. With a 7" drop/rise between steps, climbing in and out feels natural and steady. The 300 lb capacity gives you solid support without flex or bounce.
The assembly measures 25-1/2" overall width with a 23-3/4" wide x 11-3/8" deep mounting plate and a 22" x 8" bolt pattern, so it lines up with original Kwikee 25 Series mounting holes. It includes the steps, motor, and control unit, along with a 4-way plug and pigtail for wiring. Hardware is sold separately, and the switch kit for manual override can be added later if needed.

We really like the new steps. Before we got these, we had to use a small srepstool because the first step was to tall. Now we don’t have a problem. Also our small dog can get up the steps by herself.
The steps rate a 5 but I was disappointed with the delivery date. When I viewed the product it said it would be delivered on Saturday. After checkout, the delivery date changed to the following Tuesday. This is misleading and there should be a way to check the delivery date with your zip code before purchasing.

after my previous steps hit an obstacle and got tore up, i tried bending, straightening and working my butt off to fix the problem. got it working but looked terrible. went online and ordered the exact same step system and had it installed with me and a friend in about 1.5 hours. works great.

after a year of use on our Super C motorhome and another 15,000 miles youd never know these were not the original factory steps. love them
