The round crossbar design makes gear mounting easy. The SkyLine towers are compatible with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores, sold separately, so you can secure the rack to your vehicle using one key setup. Each crossbar measures 48" long x 1-1/8" in diameter and supports up to 165 lbs of evenly distributed weight, as long as it stays within your vehicle’s maximum roof load capacity. etrailer is excellent...however, not too pleased with Yakima and these cross bars - second set in four years...they make them out of a steel that rusts quickly...better out of stainless or aluminum. Maybe that is their idea of planned obsolescence. I also learned not to install end caps...that accelerated the corrosive process.
The Yakima roof rack system is an Outstanding product. I purchased the product to replace the OEM roof rack because it was too flimsy to carry the tandem bike mount and my bike. The Yakima roof rack is solid and provides me the peace of mind while hauling my bike on the roof of my car. etrailer provided the product for the best price as always.
Loved the Yakima roof rack system. It's been a year and it is still going strong. Such an easy install and it looks great on my truck. My Yakima Skybox 16 sits perfectly atop the roof rack. My drives to The Sunshine State are all the more pleasurable and comfortable. My cargo area now has plenty of extra space since I load up my skybox 16 which sits perfectly on my Yakima roof rack system. The service from Etrailer was awesome. We got a Yakima Roof Rack system with locks and fairing for a "lime squeeze metallic" (Green...) 2011 Ford Fiesta 5dr Hatchback. Received the package yesterday and set it up within about an hour.
Product works as advertised thus far. When you buy the yakima towers, you are required to purchase these as well to fit the rounder bars (I feel sure there are other adapters for other bar shapes). These should have come with the towers in my opinion, and I resented having to shell out more $$ to purchase these "must have" adapters to mount my bars. 3 star overall rating based on function, price. Delivery and packaging was top-notch through etrailer.

As all yakima products not the cheapest but work
Bought as a pkg for my 2017 Golf R with Round Bars since I had a bunch of Yakima bike racks and a canoe gunwale rack for my old Yakima set up. Installation was easy with good instructions. All measurements from the Yakima site appear to be spot on.

Roof Rack 2008 Saturn Astra The roof rack arrived one day early...The packaging was excellent and the quality of the product more than met my expectations. The instructions made the insulation very easy. It took less than 45 minutes to install the unit complete.
Have been rocking my Yakima rack from etrailer.com for a year now. I am using rack in conjunction with a Tepui tent. Once I added the air deflector, I would say it's the perfect setup. The Yakima gives more clearance over the factory rack, so I was able to get my hands under it to secure the tent hardware. If you're thinking of upgrading your factory rack, I would not hesitate to use etrailer.com
roof racks showed up in great condition, and showed up as one package.... I should have ordered the J racks from here but I found them cheaper locally so Thule J racks compliment the whole setup and i am just about ready to hit the water :)

The installation of this rack system went very well, all of the instructions were easy to read and use. I have attached some pictures of our installation. The vehicle is a 1994 Honda Accord EX four door sedan
I've attachec a few pictures of the Yakima rack on my Audi Q7. It took a few attempts to find the right combination of attachments, but in the end, the pin attachments work best with the access points on the factory flush-mount rails. Great product!!!!!
Solid and easy to instal
Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.
These convertors will allow me to continue to use my hullavator system currently on round bars. The drop in feature of skyline towers makes the whole change out a snap. Certainly better than buying a whole new hullavator.
I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.
Products great. Service and delivery from you company was not acceptable. when I placed my order you missed your delivery date by five days. Not sure how this happened, but requested help was not available.
etrailer rocks! Great customer service and support. All pieces worked as promised and for my vehicle.
A bit disappointed that Yakima towers do not have a height adjustment so I can make both round crossbars level to keep my canoes from catching too much air on the highway. My vehicles roof flush rails are are curved vertically and change widths front to back. Had to Mickey Mouse the back crossbar to make it higher with PVC brick moulding.
Also the tower covers with the Yakima label don't clip on strongly enough so I had to add duct tape because I did not trust them to stay on.
