Is the RoundBar SL Adapter for Yakima BaseLine, SkyLine, TimberLine, and RidgeLine Towers - Qty 4 required for the yakima corebar roof rack kit? Wouldnt the adapter only be needed for round bars? Thanks

Rola roof rack R4000 actually mounts to side rails on vehicles so if your 2017 GMC Terrain has a naked roof then it will not work. The most cost effective option for models with a naked roof is from Yakima using the following parts:

RoundBar SL Adapter # Y03536

That is correct, the RoundBar SL Adapter # Y03536, is for Yakima round bars. The Yakima roof rack I recommended in my previous answer uses round bars # Y00408 and thus would need the adapter. If you want the CoreBar set up then you would need the following parts: CoreBars # Y00421 BaseLine Towers # Y28TR 2 sets of Clips # Y06146 Any pages we had showing the adapter required for anything other than round bars is being updated.
