Attach this inner tube to your gooseneck trailer to get a heavy-duty coupler with an extra 10" of clearance between your truck cab and trailer. Fits standard 4" outer diameter outer tubes. Easy-to-grip, spring-loaded handle eases hookup.
Features:
Specs:
Note: Distance between end of outer coupler tube and bend near bottom of coupler sleeve should not exceed 6".

With the Extend-A-Goose from B&W you can finally get the clearance you need to tow your gooseneck trailer with your short bed truck. This sturdy steel coupler provides 10" of offset so that you can complete turns even with relatively tight tolerances between your trailer and truck cab.
The easy-to-grip, spring-loaded handle not only makes it simple to properly latch the coupler around the ball, but it also allows you to lock down the coupler for security. Just use a standard padlock (sold separately) to secure the handle in the latched position, and no one will be able to uncouple your trailer from the hitch ball.

This has been a great product that allows us to pull our living quarters goose neck with our short bed truck. I would recommend this product. It is heavy duty and built with with the quality you expect from B&W.
I could not use the hitch because my stock height on my 01 Dodge 3500 4x4 was too high. If I drop the hitch in the trailer tube to the height that I need to safely clear my bed it is considered too much to safely tow. Unfortunately it was going to cost over $100.00 to send it back. It just sits brand new in a box in my barn. Most trucks sit too high to use this hitch.
made Incredible difference in turning radius. It solved the problem of tight turns and the trailer hitting my truck cab. A must have for short bed pickups. Better built than the factory insert.

Excellent product, with my short bed truck i wont pull a trailer without it. it out and move to the next trailer.
Great produce and I like the coupler shape helps slide on the ball and I can put a lock on it.
Installed on my livestock trailer to add clearance for my GMC 1500 short bed that I had installed B&W gooseneck turnover ball hitch and it worked Great.
Know I have GMC Sierra 3500 HD 6.5 bed with B&W -BWGNXA2061 and it still works great on this truck so I left it on the trailer. It was a very easy one person install a little heavy but manageable. My trailer has the two bolt style mount.
I have it installed on my 2010 Merhow 3H slant load living quarters Horse trailer. I pull it with my 2011 Ram 2500 mega cab. This product works great with have the 6.5 ft. bed. I never have to worry about damaging my back cab or windows if I get in a tight spot. I highly suggest this product.

Just what we needed for our trailer. No more fear of busting out the back window
Worked perfect and solved my problem with no more broken back windows.

The coupler has been a life saver. It has worked perfectly over the last year. It has saved me the expense of having back windows replaced.
This coupler is great and worth every penny! Its actually our second one so both trailers have one...just wish we had done it sooner. If you haul with a shortbed..especially if the trailer is more square shaped in front just save yourself some grief and get it.
The coupler is good quality and easy to install. It applies the down force from the trailer at the design point, so there is no compromise in trailer handling qualities for the truck. My truck is a 2016 Ford F-150 crew cab with a short bed, which has limited clearance for the gooseneck. My trailer is a two horse Sundowner gooseneck, which has a V-nose. With the extender, I can make the tightest possible turn moving forward with good clearance between the cab and trailer. Backing up, there is plenty of clearance provided that I do not jackknife the trailer. I estimated that contact would occur with an 82 degree angle between the trailer and truck. That means there is clearance for any maneuver you want to actually make, but of course if you jackknife the trailer too much it would be possible to damage the truck. This is an excellent solution for a v-nose trailer with the F150 crew cab. I would not recommend it for a flat nose trailer. I formerly had a standard bed F150 that I pulled this trailer with. There is no noticeable difference in pulling with the short bed and extended coupler as compared with the 2011 standard bed. The 2016 has more capacity thanks to the lower weight of the aluminum body and the higher torque of the 3.5L turbo charged V6.

Works great. I have not had any incidents or close calls in maneuvering the trailer. Did have one minor issue. Wasps like to enter the holes and build nests. Had to tape over them.
Just what one would expect from B&W and etrailer!
We have 2 of these because we have a short bed F350. Has saved us from damaging the truck bed and we don't have to worry about crunching our 4 door either.
Very easy to install with 2 people! We measured the distance from the pin to the bottom of the old hitch so we knew where to put this one. It’s very heavy & solid looking!
It is a great product, it gives me lots of turning range, without being concerned of hitting my cab, and at the same time keeping all the weight over the axle of the truck where it needs to be.
This was so easy to install I am practically convinced I did it wrong! I have pulled the trailer, though, and everything is working perfectly. The product is sturdy, user friendly. It was delivered on schedule with frequent messages regarding its status along the way. Delivery was done according to my request. Then I got an email with some reassuring instructions that included who and how to contact for help! This is a company that seems committed to its customers' satisfaction.

Isn't that funny how when things go well it's suspicious? haha Glad the install went smoothly and if we can ever help with any future install projects we are happy to help - or even reassure :) What will you be towing?
Built like a TANK! Simple install. Looks awesome.

The Extend-a-goose coupler has done exactly what I needed: given me extra clearance between the front of my horse trailer and my oversized Weatherguard tool box. And it looks great as well. No complaints.
I bought this for my 8 wide square front trailer. I own a short box and the turning radius was just not what I wanted. Now that I have this I am not worried about smashing out my back window on my truck. The trailer hauls nicely and you would never know the sleeve of the trailer is pushed back.
I live in the Flint Hills of Northeast Kansas and we started using a Bar Six Cake feeder on our pickup to take care of cattle on winter pasture. I couldn't pull my trailer without crunching the cake box. I saw an extend-a-goose on another truck with a similar set-up and I thought this might be the answer. I charted out my problem on paper and figured out the trigonometry that I could increase my turning radius by 18 degrees with the 10" drop in the hitch.
I went ahead and ordered the item and installed it the day it came, which incidentally is always very quick with E-Trailer products. It worked like a charm. We still have to be careful with the trailer, but the extender helps me do my job more efficiently.
The extended coupler does EXACTLY what I needed - gave me extra turning room for my 8' wide horse trailer. (I've already knocked the back window out once - but no more)!!
Gives me peace of mind that I can travel and camp without a turning restriction.

Still does EXACTLY what I needed it for and has allowed me to make close turns easily. Highly recommend the extended coupler.
Quick shipping and excellent product good communication
It works great for a short wheelbase pickup as long as the ball is above the bed. Does not work on a flat bed with a recessed ball. The coupler end should have a longer neck where it connects to the coupler. I may have to do that myself. It's a pain to have to remove the gooseneck coupler to pull with my flatbed, and I have more flatbeds than short beds with a box.
I was terrified at every turn of smashing my truck. This extend-a-goose is the answer! Make sure you measure the clearance of your gooseneck support to the bed rails to make sure that extending it the 11 inches doesn’t cause that angled part to impact your truck. The build quality is fantastic, however!! I’m not impressed with the “paint” down around the coupler...after only having it for a month or so I’m seeing rust stains (I will likely cover with a trash bag so it is not out in the elements since it protrudes last the gooseneck overhang. Bottom line, of you want a shortbed and a gooseneck this is a must!!! I no longer worry about crushing my truck and I can swing to about 80 deg off my trailer without worry (before it was maybe 50 degrees) And as always, shout out to etrailer for being a great parts supplier!!!
No longer smacking the cab of my truck! Great product, if you have a short bed truck, you definitely need this extender.
I ordered this gooseneck coupler and it arrived in 3 days as promised. It's heavy so I took it to a friend to install it. Took maybe 15 min and I can actually turn my truck and trailer without worrys about blowing out the window like I did the week before. So happy I found these guys, super easy to work with. I would recommend this product to everyone with a short bed truck.

I dont know how I made it without this coupler sooner. its magic, I love it.
This is my second purchase from etrailers, and I’ll definitely keep using them. My shipment arrived quickly and was exactly what I was looking for. They have an excellent selection of products and the customer service is amazing.
This piece is very well made and is very nice for what it is. With that said, my Sundowner is not exact to the angle that these holes are pre-drilled. It works but is off just ever so little. The tubing is exact what it says it is size-wise. I actually had to sand off the powder coat to fit it in my tube.

I do not have a single complaint. We have racked up quite a few miles so far and so far, so good.
