Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today I'm at NATM and this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of them. So let's take a look at their products a little bit up close in, ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Hunter from Shocker Hitch and they have some products that really stand out from any other towing components. They have some cool technology. So first and foremost, Hunter, what is Shocker Hitch So Shocker Hitch, what we do is we essentially take the air ride concept that's been around for a long time and we're putting it on a trailer hitch.
Now, in a sense, we're taking that connection and sending it through an airbag now, kinda letting the pickup and trailer do their own thing going down the road instead of fighting each other. So now what we're doing is we're absorbing that energy that transfers between the two, sending it through our airbag. So now it's not going through the frames of everything, which then it creates a smooth ride for you. Creates a smooth ride for what's in or on the trailer. Plus then it just helps with longevity of the equipment.
You know, now we're taking care of the equipment and not having all that shock go through and you know, drive train welds, I mean, all that stuff. You betcha. Yeah. And that's, as he mentioned, you know, as you tow, a lot of people look for truck suspension enhancements or things along those nature, but having the connection point where two metal objects hit have cushion, you're right, it translates to that whatever you have, race cars, horses, whatever it may be, that's gonna keep all of your components that you have on your trailer safe down the road. Right, yep, now most, you know, most of the convention, like the air suspension on your pickup or your trailer, that's an up-and-down cushioning effect that they're doing there.
Our hitch, we are doing some up-and-down, but the true focus on our hitch is the forward-and-back tug that you're getting. And that's where we're essentially being a great complement to those systems with ours is you got the up-and-down with the majority of that, then you're getting that tugging cushion with ours. So not only do you have air cushioning suspension on ball mounts, but you have a bunch of different applications for different types of trailers and hooking up. So what do we have here Yeah, so the models that we got in front of us here, so we've got our 40,000 pound rated gooseneck air surge hitch here. So that comes with a three inch ball, square tube on those.
We also have our nine inch offset model, which is here, this is our 30,000 pound. We offer this in these square or round stems, so whatever trailer that you have. This one here is gonna be good for your big enclosed race trailers, car haulers, horse trailers, the ones that got the big fronts on there to help with your turning radius, help get that trailer back a little bit for that. And then our next model is we've got up here, we've got, essentially this is our standard 30,000 pound model. We offer these in the round or square stem as well. Just kind of our, this is kind of our bread and butter one here. This is our top seller by far in the gooseneck models. So we do offer them stem specific. We also did just come out with a brand new multi-fit in the round stems that we came out with the beginning year. Super excited about that. Essentially with our hitches, because we want them parallel with the trailer, we had to be very conscious on what stems the trailers we inchesre using with the manufacturers and so on. So we had straight pins and angle pins and all that stuff, which in a sense made it somewhat complicated to order. So now we came out with our multi-fit, which with the round is a one fit all. So we've got our standard stem here and then we essentially have an adjustment pin on the bottom that you will essentially pull and rotate your head to whatever pin angle that you're needing to fit all the multiple stems that are on the market with these manufacturers, so that's awesome. So you're covering, yeah, there's a lot of specific fits and it can get a little bit tricky, but you've fixed that problem. Yeah, this is gonna be the big fix to that to where now it's essentially, if it's a round stem, we've got one that's gonna fit all of 'em and it's way easier, I'm gonna tell you that right now. Now with goosenecks, I mean, it's metal-to-metal contact. There's not a whole lot of cushioning there. And generally you're gonna be towing expensive and heavy things. So the fact that you can add suspension to that connection point is gonna take away a lot of that jarring, right 100%, yep, yep. And it just goes back to once again, now that you're taking that jarring and all that out of it, it's gonna have a more pleasurable ride for yourself, what's on the trailer, in the trailer. And then, like I said, just helps the equipment by far. Well, and passengers, too. I mean, having your passengers upset for a rough ride can make for a rough trip wherever you're going. So keep them happy and everyone's happy. Exactly, exactly. Brad And USA made USA made, always. Awesome, well thank you, Hunter, for taking the time to break down Shocker Hitch and all of the products. Appreciate it. Fantastic stuff. Appreciate you guys' stopping. Have a great one, all right. thank you.
Awesome
Great products and customer service!
Eliminates the jerking on rough and uneven roads.
Etrailer is the best
Just received the Shocker hitch and have not installed it yet. The hitch was received in good shape, however the cardboard box it was in was beat up pretty bad due to the weight of this hitch. Supplier needs stronger/better packaging for thes heavy parts.
Great product, you can really notice the difference when traveling down the rough roads.
Works great, but after a couple of hours the air leaks out, I only put 35psi in it , I might go with something mechanical
We put this on a flat bed trailer 40ft it bucked realy bad when empty on dirt roads. This has helped with the pressure a lot well worth the money.
