Question:

Problem is this is a RV 5th Wheel trailer with the Reese Goosebox on my towable. So I guess 1 option would be to go back to a 5th Wheel hitch with the automatic slide, or change out the factory hitch for one that would fit a ball extension.

I do have an option for you but they do not make an offset gooseneck hitch ball for your 2017 Ford F-250 with the factory prep package to my knowledge so no, part # 19308 will not fit. Instead, you will want to consider an offset coupler like the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler part # BWTEXA4200 which fits around a 4" diameter tube and offers 10" of extension.

The best option would be to use a sliding 5th wheel hitch that fits into the factory pucks on your 2017 Ford F-250. You will need to replace the Reese Goose Box in order for this option to work but it also does not require you to remove the gooseneck hitch. Unfortunately, using a Reese Goose Box on a short bed truck is less than ideal which is why we rarely recommend using them together. If you are looking for a 5th wheel hitch that fits the above criteria then I recommend the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16515-16020 which is the most cost effective option we have that does not require the use of an adapter. This system also has a unique two pin head removal which makes it easy for 1 person to remove the hitch. I have attached a review video for you.
