Thank you for the additional information. Though there are other more cost effective options for a 2017 Ram 1500, they are designed for the models with the 6-1/2' and 8' beds. The only gooseneck hitch that is available for the 5-1/2' bed is the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1309. I understand you will only be towing a few times a year but this hitch has great value considering how well it is made. The 5-1/2' bed you have on your Ram is not ideal for towing gooseneck and 5th wheel trailers. It is possible but limited selection and in this case, additional parts like part # BWGNXA4685 or part # BWTEXA4200 are to be expected.
