The 2018 Highland Ridge Open Range Light lf318rls has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 9,995 lbs and an unloaded weight of 7,895 lbs. According to Ford, your 2017 F-150 Ecoboost 3.5L Supercrew 4x4 has a towing capacity of 10,200 lbs. So, you won't have any problem towing this 5th wheel trailer.

For your 2017 F-150, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50087-58 which is a custom fit for your vehicle. Then for a 5th wheel hitch, if you have a 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Round Tube Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lb # RP30075 and for an 8 foot bed # RP30047.

This will be a great combination for your application. If you have a 5-1/2 foot bed, then you will want the fixed hitch and a Sidewinder pin box to allow turning clearance. Let me know if you need assistance.

Thank your for the photos. You will absolutely be able to use this truck and trailer together. You will want the bed rails # RP50087-58 and Reese sliding hitch # RP30075. I also recommend adding the Bargman 5th wheel wiring harness # 50-97-410-010 to make your wiring connections easier and more convenient inside the bed of your truck. This will give you a 2nd working 7-way trailer connection and keep you from draping the wiring over your tailgate for connection.

Based on the photo you attached, you want the Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler Base Assembly - Adjustable - Round - 2-5/16" Ball - 20,000 lbs # BD0287610300 to match the pictured assembly. Since you have a short bed truck, I recommend the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler - 2-5/16" Ball - 10" Offset - 24,000 lbs # BWTEXA4200. This coupler will give you 10 inches more turning clearance when used with your trailer.
