Good quality and stout although, the collar that assists in strengthening lower part of the tube was only welded in three small places around the top and bottom of the collar. I thought it necessary to be welded all the way around so I welded around the complete collar.1310072

This is the OEM coupler and outer tube on my new flatbed trailer. I ordered the trailer with the kingpin inner tube. I decided to use a goosenck hitch plate on my fifth wheel rails and this gooseneck coupler during the winter and to have in case a friend needs to use my trailer and doesn’t have a fifth wheel hitch.

I didn’t need the outer tube, but I now have spare set screws, jam nuts and load bearing pin. This was less than some inner tube-only prices.

Only reason I didn’t give five stars is because of the weld splatter that needs to be cleaned up before painting.450580
