Does B and W Extend a Goose Coupler Require Outer Tube with Pin Hole
Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/16/2025 >
Question:
I bought the BandW extend a goose coupler what I’m worried about because my trailer doesn’t have a through pin that because of the leverage from the 10” extension in coupler provides that it will rotate in the outer tube. I know you recommend contacting the manufacturer but in order for this to work without it rotating it needs a through pin. Have you seen or heard of this problem? Thank you

Hey Mike, the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler # BWTEXA4200 is going to require a pin hole in the outer tube of your coupler like you mentioned. Could you drill a hole through your current coupler?

Hey Mike, did you end up drilling a hole in your coupler for the B&W Extend-A-Goose to keep it from rotating? Knowing how that worked could really help others setting up the same coupler.
