Backing up to just the right spot is a challenge. Even if you miss the mark by more than an inch, the plate will guide the ball right into place and ensure a tight connection.
The constant rattling and banging back there is the worst part of towing. This coupler wraps snugly around the 2-5/16" gooseneck ball to reduce movement and keep your ride smooth.
You can adjust this coupler to work with trucks of different heights. 8" of adjustment helps you find the right height.
The release handle is large and easy to grip and manuever, so you don't have to fight with the coupler to disconnect.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we gonna take a look at this Curt round gooseneck coupler with the load-bearing pin, eight inch height adjustment, and a 30,000 pound weight capacity. Now this gooseneck coupler is gonna let you hook up your gooseneck trailer to your tow vehicle. It is designed to fit on a standard gooseneck ball size of 2 5/16 inches, and this is a weld on installation. Basically, this outer tube is what will weld directly to your gooseneck trailer. The outer tube width is 4 1/4 inches.
The inner tube right down here is four inches in the width. It is a sturdy steel construction. Now I did wanna zoom to the bottom right here. It uses a self centering locking plate, which will secure onto your gooseneck ball. Provides a nice, strong, tight fit.
Even if you miss the mark by more than an inch, it'll still hook up. And the way you would hook it up, you just spin this around. You can see this locking pin handle here. What you'll want to do is, it is spring load it. So what you want to do is put it into the open position when you go to hook up, and how to do that is you just lift up on it, and then turn it, and it'll hold it into the open position.
Now you just go over the gooseneck ball, lower onto the gooseneck ball, and then just release it and it's in the closed position. Lock it over and it locks onto the ball. It is a spring loaded handle for a nice easy hookup. And what's nice is you can see where the mechanism is. The latching mechanism, it is covered.
So this hidden spring latching mechanism will protect the moving parts. Now there are two set screws. Let me zoom back out. You'll be able to see these two set screws right here on the outer tube. These will secure the inner tube at the desired height you need. It does give you a range of adjustment. There's four holes right here that you can raise this up or down, put it into the height that you need, and then put the load bearing pin in to hold it. The height again, is an eight inch vertical adjustment, so if it's fully retracted, it's 29 inches, fully extended will be 37 inches. And the four holes, the distance between those holes, center to center, is 2 11/16 inches. We mentioned the load bearing pin with the clip is included. Weight capacity, again is 30,000 pounds. Now always remember that if you do have questions regarding this product, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat or email, or what even better is if you have purchased this product, please send us pictures of it being used in your application. We would love to see it. But that's gonna do it for a look at the Curt round gooseneck coupler with the load-bearing pin.
