Product was used and works fine I had to cut 1/4 inch line to run it as I wanted to bothsides and teed it infront of drivers side to across to curbside for othere wheels which I ran a 3/16 line to each wheel. I had to buy extra fittings but all worked out brakes work as designed.

I recently ordered a complete hydraulic disc brake kit for my horse trailer, as I wanted to change out the worn out electric drum brakes with something better. I worked with Carla on getting all of the right parts to make this changeover. She was very helpful and made sure that I got all of the necessary parts on order. I received everything in one shipment and set out to install the brake kits on all four wheels. I ran into a problem with the brake line kit that was supplied by HydraStar...they didn't include the brake lines and fittings for the second axle as was specified in my order, so I had to make a special run to my local auto parts house to get the lines and fitting at an additional cost. I placed a call to eTrailer to let them know what happened and they said that they would have a tech from HydraStar give me a call. NEVER GOT A CALL FROM THEM!!!!!! Anyway, the installation proceeded and all went smoothly after that. It took me two and a half days to do this entire installation myself and I am very happy with the results. I just got back from a 2000 mile trip with the trailer and everything worked perfectly. Thank you Carla and eTrailer for your help and providing good quality products.

I changed out my electric drum brakes on my Montana fifth wheel with this hydraulic brake actuator and Kodiak discs rotor system . What a difference this new brake system has made. I can now lock down the trailer tires if needed and drive much more relaxed on the highway knowing I can stop on a dime.

  • Installing Hydraulic Disc Brakes on a 5th Wheel Trailer
I can help you correctly run hydraulic lines on your trailer. Adding disc brakes is a great idea, but the reason you are having such difficulty finding a schematic is because hydraulic brakes are rarely installed on 5th wheel trailers and they are typically installation specific. I have made a diagram of a typical setup on a trailer for you to look at. In this diagram I have run the main line down the driver's side frame of the trailer so the shorter lines are needed to the driver's...

  • Parts Needed To Add Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brakes On Tandem Axle Trailer With Lippert 8k Axles
I would be happy to recommend all of the parts you need for adding electric over hydraulic disc brakes to your tandem axle trailer with 8000lb Lippert axles. All of the 8000lb disc brake rotors we offer use the inner bearing # 25580 and outer bearing # 02475, so you will want to make sure that your spindles use the same bearings. • Recommended Suspension And Brake Upgrade For 2019 Forest River Sabre 32DPT W/ Tandem 5200lb axles
I have another suggestion, but I don't think changing the axles wheels will have the added benefit you are looking for. Moving from 5200lb axles to 7000lb or 8000lb and heavier duty leaf springs will actually cause a rougher ride due to springs being stiffer than needed for the weight of your 2019 Forest River Sabre 32dpt. There is also not a kit to complete this change, and it will be pretty involved and costly. Going overkill on suspension usually leads to more negatives than positives,...
