Updated 04/05/2020 | Published 03/01/2016

Question:

Im looking for a complete 2 axle 6000lb six lug brake conversion kit for my 5th wheel to disc brakes. If so how much? I see you have Titan Disc Brake Kit and BrakeRite II SD Electric-Hydraulic Actuator - Tandem, 3,500-lb Axle

We have just what you need to convert to disc brakes on your fifth wheel trailer.

First, I recommend the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, part # K2HR526D. This is for one axle so for a tandem trailer you will need to order 2 kits. This kit has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. The inner bearing has a 1.750 inner diameter and the outer bearing has an inner diameter of 1.250 inches.

For a brake line kit I recommend part # HS496-152 for a 15-ft kit, and part # HS496-252 for a 25-ft kit. These are designed for tandem axle trailers. There are diagrams on the product page for these brake line kits that show how the lines are run.

The Electric Over hydraulic Actuator I recommend is part # HBA16.

You will also need a breakaway kit like part # 20099.

You will also need an electric over hydraulic brake controller like part # 90885. This is in case the brake controller you have is not compatible with electric over hydraulic brake actuators.

Everything listed is assuming you have electric brakes on your fifth wheel. If you do not, let me know. I have attached links to some product review videos and a helpful article you can check out. The prices for all of our products is on the product page.
