Question:

Hello I have a 2011 Keystone Montana 346LBQ 5th wheel. Do you all have a disk brake kit or a list of everything needed to convert from drum to disk? What other information would you need from me? Thank you

Hey Adam,

We can definitely get you set up to convert your 2011 Keystone Montana 346LBQ 5th wheel trailer from drum to disc brakes. You'll need a hub and rotor kit, so what you'll need is the following:

- Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD66FR

Since you're moving to disc, I assume you're going to an electric-over-hydraulic set up for your 5th wheel. We do have a kit with the rest of the needed parts for that if you need them, the Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes # CAR-HBA16-2.

This gets you the actuator, brake lines, fittings, and breakaway kit so you have everything you need.

Thank you, Will I need any additional brake lines if I need to mount the hydraulic actuator in the very front on the 5th wheel? Can you provide part numbers for them? Thanks Adam

@Adam Yeah you're going to need a kit with a longer main brake line than the 15 foot of the # CAR-HBA16-2 kit, and I think 25 feet will do the trick. We don't actually have a kit with that but we do have all the components: - Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16 - Hydrastar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Tandem Axle - 25' Long, # HS496-252 - Tekonsha Shur-Set III Trailer Breakaway Kit - Side Load # 20005 These are exactly the same as the parts in the # CAR-HBA16-2 just with the longer brake line.

@KyleS After reviewing I don't think you have the correct disk brake setup for my RV. I was able to obtain my axel information from Dexter. Please see the information below, could you please provide all the part numbers to convert it from drum to disk and the part numbers to replace the existing drum brakes and hubs that include the bearings, races and seals? @Adam That was super helpful thank you so much; here is exactly what you'll need to replace your 008-219-04 hub and drum. That hub has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern with 1/2" bolts, a 2.25" grease seal, inner bearing 25580 and outer bearing 14125. To replace that you just need a pair of the following: - Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD66FR This is a hub and rotor kit so gives you both the hubs and the brakes for a replacement.
