Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the non bypass, reverse lockout solenoid kit for the Demco DA 10 and DA 91 hydraulic brake actuators. Now, this solenoid kit allows you to replace or add a reverse lockout solenoid to your Demco hydraulic trailer brake actuator. This allows you to move into reverse without engaging your trailer brakes. It does include the two items here, the solenoid cover and the inline electric solenoid valve.
Again, this fits the Demco models, DA 10 and the DA 91 hydraulic trailer brake actuators. And this solenoid is a non bypass configuration, so it basically allows you to install the solenoid without drilling into your master cylinder. It's easier to install than the bypass models. Basically this portion here, we'll just thread into the back of your actuator and then your brake line connects right there. If you notice, there are two yellow wires. These need to be connected.
One to a ground, the other to the reverse light circuit, and they're both yellow wires, so doesn't matter, you can use either wire for either function. Once this is installed, then this cover will actually go over it and bolt to the back of the actuator. And it goes over the solenoid to protect it from getting any damage. Now on the cover, it is a 1/8" thick steel construction. A few dimensions on this, the overall length from the back here, the very front, including the mounting tab is right about 5 1/8" inches.
If we just measure the length without including the mounting tab, it's right at 4" width it. It's right at 3 3/4" wide. And the height on it is right at about 2 7/8" tall. But that should do it for the review on this non bypass reverse lockout solenoid kit for the Demco DA 10 and the DA 91 hydraulic brake actuators.

I will highly recommend to my friends.
After installing the reverse lockout myself, I had my hydraulic brake system bled at a local trailer shop. No problems moving the boat in reverse at the boat yard according to the yard manager. Boat is 8500 lbs.
Very good product! It is brass so don't get crazy with a wrench tightening it. Just a little thread sealer and snug it a little is fine. I used it with an Atwood 6000 lb actuator and works perfect! I want to add that etrailer are awesome people to deal with!
Looks like it should work great
Used for 8000KM, could not get the switch to stop leaking brake fluid. I removed the switch to stop the leak and have not used the dolly much since.
Arrived as stated and product was as described. Have not had a chance to test drive the back up solenoid yet, installed fine.
great product, I had to drill mounting holes because they didn't line up, no big deal.
Excellent product. Exact product as shown. Quality materials. Quick to ship and receive.
