Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Extang replacement tonneau cover tail clamp assembly. This is going to replace one tail clamp assembly for your Extang tonneau cover. This will fit all Extang solid fold 2.0 trifecta and trifecta 2.0 tonneau covers. This is going to be an exact replacement from Extang.
So you can trust this is gonna fit right in place of that original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. So it is gonna do a great job of replacing that original, so that your tonneau cover is held in place correctly. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

The Tail Clamp was exactly what it was advertised as. No problem replacing them on my tonneau cover.

This is an improved design and should last longer than the original handles!
A close match to original part that failed where it holds and slides into the side rails of the Extang cover. Replacement requires exposing the open end of the cross rail to slide the new part in. I was able to do this by removing one screw and loosening the retaining screw at the other end. Spring in the new part is very tight and somewhat hard to find the perfect position. This is, however, compared to the old part with five year (or more) wear.

The parts were a perfect fit and easy to install. Glad we could find the parts for a tonneau cover. Also glad that we can now keep the cover down with no fear of it flying off on the interstate
The clamp fits perfectly, looks just like the OEM clamp and it took only a couple of minutes to swap out with the broken one. The shipping was also very fast.
This part fit perfectly! Etrailer staff was extremely helpful with finding the parts I needed.

The top has been great! I love that it locks down with your tailgate for security. Installation was quick and easy as it attaches to my tundra track system and if i need my entire bed for projects, removing the top only takes about 2 minutes.
The top leaks a little but not enough to worry about normal truck bed things - i wouldn't haul items sensitive to water or humidity under it though. I added some D shape gaskets and siliconed problem areas as a backup solution.
Overall, i'v been extremely satisfied with it.

Not a single problem for the past year.
I take my cover off often to haul a 5th wheel and gooseneck. These replaced the screw down retainers that were in the front and made it a lot quicker to add and remove my cover.
Ordered as a replacement for manufacturers poor design which gave me fits.
Easy to install and I haven't needed to adjust it at all. Makes my cargo cover so much easier to lock into place.
Super quick delivery and well described online. I would buy again, but I don't think I will need to.
