Question:
I have a trailer im building up from a motor home frame and axle, disc brakes will be swapped on to the axle. Is there a lockout that will work with this brake actuator? Preferably electric, but manual would work as well for now. Trailer will be a flatbed for hauling, right around 9,000 GVWR and 1,000lbs of tongue weight.

We do indeed offer an electric lockout solenoid for the Demco # DM8758721 Hydraulic Disc Brake Actuating coupler. You'll want to use # DM5837 which also includes the protective cover which is very necessary to prevent somebody stepping over the trailer tongue from tripping over the brake line and snapping the solenoid off (ask me how I know this!).
The solenoid has two wires exiting it. One wire is grounded to the trailer frame, the other ties into the reverse lamp circuit from the center pin of the 7-way trailer connector, it doesn't matter which wire goes where.
I've linked to a product video for the # DM5837 lockout solenoid.
