RV Steps with 24 inch wide, 2-step comfort

Step in with confidence on a 24 inch wide step paired with 2 steps for easier, steadier entry. Ideal for replacing a single step or updating older gear, with installs ranging from simple bolt-ups to minor drilling on some rigs. If your brackets don't align, outriggers or spacers have been used to get a solid, square mount.
Yes, that upgrade is common and makes entry easier. Expect a tight fit on some rigs—use a floor jack to support the steps and a rubber mallet to persuade the front holes to align, then drill rear holes if needed. Verify your bracket spacing before starting so the housing sits square and secure.
Often, direct replacements can use the existing magnetic door switch and cut out switch. Verify your current step series and switch style before ordering to avoid rewiring. If everything matches, you can keep your old switches as spares after the swap.
Using spacers on each side is an acceptable way to fill a small gap. 3/8" spacers with longer 3/8" hardware help mount the step housing square when bracket spacing doesn't line up perfectly. Tighten everything evenly so the steps feel solid under normal use.
It can, but confirm your bolt-hole spacing and bracket width first. Some installs needed the outriggers squared up or a mounting hole opened up to line up. If your current brackets don't match, adding outriggers can provide the correct bolt locations. If your steps have multiple mounting holes, use them to fine-tune alignment.
