Question:
Why would I choose this Trailer Jack Foot Scale instead of the standalone Big Truck Big RV 2,000 lb tongue weight scale?

Hey Tom, great question! Both products provide an easy way to measure tongue weight, but they excel in different situations. The BTBRV Trailer Jack Foot Scale # BTBRV014 measures tongue weight at the trailer jack, so you don't need to position a separate scale under the coupler. This can be especially convenient if you're making adjustments while the trailer is already parked or if you'd rather not move your tow vehicle out of the way to place a standalone scale.
If you regularly tow multiple trailers, or you don't have a 2" inner tube where you can swap out the foot, the standalone # BTBRV49FR may be the better choice since it can be used with any coupler size. If you want to add a SnapPad, # SN47FR is compatible with both scales.
What kind of trailer are you towing?

I didn't think about that, this definitely helps, thanks! I'll be picking up the jack foot scale for my utility trailer soon.
