Optronics STL22 Series Miro-Flex Oval Sealed Tail Light Diagram

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed mount light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a grommet (A70GB - sold separately). These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

The size was right, and the brightness of the LED light, let's people know there is a trailer in front of them, especially when braking, or making a turn

by:

Much brighter than my previous tail lights. Easy to install. Would definitely buy again!

by:

Definitely a major upgrade from the single bulbs that finally went out on my old trailer. Simple as can be when it comes to install them. I did have to run additional ground wires to get to get lights to work when the parking lights are on. Could have been due to the fact my trailer is a tilt trailer? No big deal just a heads up if anyone else is having the same problem. Pictures shows them with parking lights on and brake lights. They're bright that's for sure!

by:

Love these LED trailer lights and now Love Etrailer!! Did a quick Google, found these guys, they had what I was looking for and at a great price. Their shipping was FAST, and I really liked the e-mails letting me know every little thing about my order and when it will arrive. Installed them the same day I got them. Installation was very easy and the lights were VERY bright. We had to bring the 3k pound trailer home today in 6" of snow. I felt great knowing the people behind me knew I was hitting the break, because you can see these break lights from a mile away!! Thanks Etrailer!!

by:

Excellent replacement products for the bullet bass boat trailer. Upgraded all trailer lights to LED.

by:

Good design and materials. Bright light, and easy fit into accessory mounting parts. As a single middle third light, it functions as a brake, running and directional lights. Perfect for a hitch mounted bicycle rack.

Awesome tail lights !!!!

by:

The lights were great. Instigation was very easy. The service and delivery time was excellent. I will adding more LED lights to my trailer and I will be buying them here! Thank you to your entire staff!

by:

Bright lights. Great upgrade from the incandescent. Very easy to remove old ones and install these on my triton snowmobile trailer.

by:

Ordered led lights to replace all the lighting on my triaxle trailer. Parts arrived sooner than expected and were a terrific upgrade. I had an issue with one taillight. The item was replaced at no charge, no hassle, no questions asked. Fantastic customer service.

by:

Although the products are excellent the packaging leaves a lot to be desired! The items I ordered were tossed into an oversized box with no padding at all left to rattle around during shipping. Luckily there was no damage.

by:

they are nice and bright sorry no picture of them in action video would not load to site

Ahhhh! Is all I hear from those behind me cause they are so bright and thats what you need on the back of your motorcycle. Very pleased!!!

Will be two more weeks before ready to install them. They look like made good. Only reason not 5 star is not hooked up yet to test.

Zero problems with these. Im completely satisfied with them.

by:

These lights were an exact replacement for the original incandescent lights in my car trailer. They are very bright, and traffic behind me actually pays attention when I turn my signal on now. They are a much needed improvement over stock. Juanita was also very helpful in verifying that I had the right connector for them. Very prompt shipping too, as I had them in 3 days after I ordered them.

The lights work as good as new. They are a great replacement over stock tail lights.

Awesome looking upgrade for older trail er...

by:

What do y'all want a follow up to? If i had a nickel for every item I've ordered off of ETrailer, I wouldn't have to work for a few months... I keep coming back because the prices are fair, shipping is free and fast, and ETrailer has everything I need.

I do wish you sold trailer kits though. Being a welder, I have built a few trailers in my free time and sold them for a small side business. Why isn't there an axle, fender, brakes, springs (shackles and all hardware) tires and wheels kit? It would be nice to not have to go and click and add to cart all the multitude of items I need to build a trailer individually. Just saying...

by:

These were the exact trailer lights I needed as an upgrade for the old originals. I was able to find this because of an answer that etrailer.com provided to someone looking for information about a specific type of discontinued lights. I've used the trailer a number of times through the years and always found them to be helpful, professional, and reasonably priced

by:

very nice brake/tail lights, worked great as replacements for my boat trailer. Economical, bright, highly recommended.

Miro-Flex Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - LED - Waterproof - 12 Diodes - Red Lens - STL22RB EXCELLENT LED if you are in the market for an oval shaped RED or AMBER LED light, this new technology by Optronics, Miro-Flex is amazing. Love these over the 1st generation of LED. Reflects light even without being on, is very bright, solid construction and looks cool. Using 4 on the back of the trailer, just getting the 1st one hooked up was bright!!! Purchased the 3 pigtail to plug into it, the female plug frame is solidly constructed. This is a great purchase. Also look at the other Optronics Miro-Flex lights. ETRAILER.COM delivered quickly in a solid packaging. Great job guys!

Working on 1982 tandem axle boat trailer replacing all lights to led.
etrailer is the only one I found online that gave the dimensions of their lights & as a plus videos of them. Super store they are on top of everything makes all other competitors look stupid . Thanks for everything because of your attention to detail all the lights & light grommets were a direct fit saving me lots of time not having to retro fit anything. ANCHOR'S UP !!!

by:

Used these to replace stock lights on a 2010 Continental Cargo (Forest River) box trailer for our Boy Scout Troop. New lights snapped in perfectly and are much brighter, factory wiring harness had no issues. Would buy again if I need to, but with LED hopefully this is a non-issue.

by:

Super bright! Easy to install. Amazing prices. Bright during the day and super bright at night!

by:

I upgraded the lights on my kayak trailer from incandescent to LED after getting tired of replacing burned out bulbs on the old lights. The new STL22RB LED tail-stop-turn lights are great. I also installed the red and amber side marker lights MCL11RKB and MC11AKB and the are great too! The new tail lights are very bright when viewed from directly behind the vehicle (see picture), but they are less bright when viewed from an angle...I think that is normal with all LED lights. Everything was easy to install on my trailer with the BK70BB brackets and wiring harnesses. I will definitely recommend the lights and etrailer to my friends!

by:

Nice and bright. Should be seen much better in the daylight compaired to the stoce lights. And they fit further into the rubber mounting gaskets for better protection from damage.

  • Troubleshooting Installation of LED Trailer Lights with Red, Black, and Yellow Wires
If your LED has red, black, and yellow wires, then I recommend running jump wires from a battery to test functions before installation. It is likely the red wire will be the stop, the black wire is running light, and the yellow is possibly the turn signal. It sounds like this is a 3 wire light that may ground through mounting hardware. Without seeing the light, that is my initial thought since the wire colors are not standard. When you test functions on each wire, then you will know...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring that Stopped Working After LED Trailer Light Install
Sounds like you have a short between the stop/turn circuits and the 12 volt accessory circuit which is putting voltage on the power wires for the lights at all times. Best option is to go over the wiring of the trailer looking for any obvious shorts like exposed wire etc. and fix as needed.

  • Troubleshooting Dim LED Trailer Lights after New Wiring and Light Assembly Installation
The problem is either the power or the ground side of the wiring of the LED assemblies. First thing to do is check that 12 volts are making it to the trailer connector. You can use a circuit tester like our part # 3808. Next, trace the wiring back to the light assembly testing as you go with the circuit tester to make sure the voltage is making it to the light assemblies. Next, you need to make sure the ground wire of the light assemblies are connected to a clean, metal surface. If you...

  • What is the White Wire of a Trailer Taillight Wiring Harness For
The white wires of your trailer lights are the ground wires. It sounds like your previous trailer lights grounded through the mounting hardware so because of that you would need to run the white wire of the new assemblies to either a clean metal surface that touches the trailer frame or back to the main ground for the trailer's wiring. The green would be right stop/turn and the yellow would be left stop turn. The brown is taillights.

  • Replacing 2-Wire Trailer Light with 3-Wire Trailer Light
The white wire on your new trailer light assembly is indeed for ground. Your old tail light grounded through its mounting hardware so it didn't use a separate wire for this purpose. You just need to attach the white wire on the new light to a clean, bare metal surface on the trailer frame.

  • How to Wire a Stop/Turn/Tail Trailer Light With Two Wires to a Trailer
It sounds like you have a trailer taillight that grounds through the mounting hardware. Typically the red wire would run to the turn signal/stop light circuit and the black would run to the taillight circuit, and then the ground circuit would be complete through the mounting hardware.

  • Is White Wire of Trailer Wiring Most Commonly the Ground Circuit
For trailer wiring the white wire is almost always the ground wire circuit. Since trailer wiring gets redone periodically it's not uncommon for the colors of the wiring to get changed but in general white being ground is the most consistent. Then the brown would be most likely the running light circuit. I attached a link to a page that has trailer wiring diagrams for you to check out as well.

  • New LED Lights Do Not Work on Trailer with Same Connector
The photo did not come through but are you sure that the pins inside the old connector matches the socket inside the new light? They could look very well the same and even plug into one another but that doesn't mean they are wired the same. I would find the pin inside the light that is supposed to receive power and then check to see if it is in fact receiving power using a circuit tester. There could also be a ground mixup. For example, the new light may ground though the hardware and the...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Lights Not Functioning When Headlights are On
It sounds like there is too much amperage being drawn on your trailer when the headlights are on and it is too much for the trailer so everything shuts off. This could be because of a bad ground somewhere. First thing I would do is check the grounds on the trailer for any loose wiring and corrosion and fix as necessary.
