There are multiple ways to measure the length of an axle beam, but the hub-face-to-hub-face and spring-center-to-spring-center lengths are the most accurate. Hub face (A) refers to the length of the axle measured from the base of one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite side of the axle (when hubs are mounted on the beam).
The spring center (B) is the approximate width of your trailer. It is measured from the center of the spring seat on one side of the axle to the center of the seat on the other. This axle beam comes with the spring seats welded on.
If you are replacing your trailer's axle, you should be able to figure out which type you need by determining your trailer's capacity, the bolt pattern of your wheels, the brake type and the aforementioned lengths.
The E-Z Lube spindles on this axle are meant to work with E-Z Lube-compatible hubs to make lubricating your bearings quick and easy. Each E-Z Lube spindle has a zerk fitting on the end. And every E-Z Lube hub comes with a grease cap that has an easy-to-remove rubber plug. Just pop out the plug on the cap to access the zerk on the spindle. When you inject grease into the zerk with a grease gun, the grease will flow to both the inner and outer bearings of the hub, lubricating the bearings and forcing out old, ineffective grease. Once you see new grease beginning to be pushed out, you know that your bearings are fully lubricated. This means that you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.
Dexters are made of high-strength steel and come with spindles and spring seats welded on. The spring seats are attached to the underside of the axle so that the leaf springs (sold separately) can mount beneath the axle. The result of this underslung design is a trailer that rides a bit lower for quick and easy loading and unloading.
Each axle is manufactured to create a certain camber angle. This ensures that the angle of the wheels is correct for your towing needs. Because the primary concern when towing is maintaining controlled, in-line movement, each axle is made so that your trailer's tires will run along the pavement evenly, with contact across the width of the tread. The result is excellent straight-line acceleration for steady, in-line tracking. You might notice the bend near the center of the axle; this is what ensures the proper camber angle. Having the center ride a bit higher and the sides of the axle bent lower allows the axle to give just enough to compensate for the load.

Awesome results. I purchased with new leaf springs and hardware. Very solid. I imagine that most of you struggling failed to research and measure properly. Take responsibility and own your results.
Only issue I found after unpacking the axle was no holes drilled for the U bolts.
Great pricing on replacement axles. Saved about 35% over what I was quoted locally. Packaging consits of shrink wrap and rubber caps over the spindles. Shipping speed was exceptional!
When I purchased my 20' trailer, I didn't notice the axel was bent, the top of the tires were sticking out. I called the business where I purchased it and they told me I hit something. I need to replace the axel. After much searching, I found etrailer and after chatting with the very knowledgeable folks, I purchased a replacement axel with everything else I needed to to the job. Easy peazy, I've purchased two of these. Sure beats driving all over to find the right axle. Arrived timely and installed easily. Big trip next week so they will get the test, but dexter axels have great reliability.

Disappointed. I bought a pair of these axles to replace the originals from my trailer, one of which had rusted so much that it broke. They are the same manufacturer and part number, but updated versions. Unfortunately, one of them already bent, while carrying the exact same load (a pickup truck) that the old rusted ones had handled just fine about five years ago. I like the fit and initial quality, the updated greasing system and nut retainer are nice, but really not something I care about--I'm fine with repacking bearings the old way and securing the nut with a cotter pin. I'm not sure that they are as strong, as the old ones lasted until they rusted out, and one of these has already had to be replaced less than a year after installation.

Trailer axel fit properly without issues to replace an axel that broke probably from heavy loads on very potted country roads. So far this axel has held up and performed beautifully. Provided instructions and videos very helpful including information to select correct replacement axel. These folks go out of their way to help ensure correct installation and use. Far better than any other supplies I have used.

Excellent axle and hub quality and fitment. Beefy welds on heavy steel with precision spindle machining. Bearings and hub fit like a glove. No toggle in the hubs. Still going strong. Ive had several big loads on my trailer after installing this axle and it hasnt given me any problems

The axle, springs, and hardware has given me 0 issues. The 14 angle iron trailer frame will bend before the axle does.
