Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

PC-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for PC rated light

A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and a side marker light.

Folks, I decided to completely revitalize/upgrade my 20 year old bass boat trailer and found that not only could i find all the updated parts i needed, (led lights and urethane bow rollers, etc), at one location, additionally itrailer.com has a video for just about each part, where they share different measurements etc that may not be on the standard part description. These videos provided me with all the information i needed while configuring my retrofit. Additionally, when I placed my order, I received a personal email from the guy who packed my shipment., confirming that all the parts i ordered where in stock and now on the way. I typically never write these type of endorsements, but I felt compelled to write this one. Great service and all the parts I purchased have met my expectations. I'll be back when I need additional trailer parts. 807437

I'm very pleased with these LED replacement lights for the fenders on my cargo trailer. Before these I had the regular light bulb which I had to replace from time to time. So the last time I needed to replace a bulb about a year ago I decided to go with these LEDs. Wow what a difference in their brightness. Before changing to LEDs my lights on the fenders were somewhat dim. Now with the LEDs these lights are bright enough for other divers to see them in the daylight giving me some peace of mind that they see me coming. There is however one con to them being so bright. When I have to back my trailer into the driveway at night their brightness blinds me from seeing my wife in back of the trailer guiding me in when using my review mirrors. But it's OK because now I will just get some LED backup lights for the trailer. I plan on changing the entire trailer over to LED lights, someday. lol PS. I love etrailer.com 758913

  • LED Clearance Light Recommendation for Sundowner Horse Trailer
What you have on your horse trailer is a pretty common clearance light that we do offer in red and amber as an LED. For the red you'd want the part # AL91RB and for amber part # AL91AB. You'll also need the grommet part # A91GB and the right angle pigtail part # A46PB and you'd be set.

  • Recommended Side Marker Lights for EZLoader Trailer
I can help you find the correct parts for your EZ Loader trailer. Based on the photos you submitted, the # AL91RB will fit your style connector on your trailer. The amber light is # AL82AB, and the grommet you will need is # A91BOB. All these items come in quantity of 1 so you will want to adjust the quantity on the grommets page to 2. I have linked all the above products to this page for your convenience.

  • Replacement Tailgate Marker Lights for 1984 GMC C-Series Dually Pickup
Yes, from what I found, you can use # AL91RB LED lights to replace the five original incandescent tailgate lights on your 1984 GMC C-Series Dually Pickup. These are standard size clearance lights (2-1/2 x 1-3/16) that were used on a variety of different trailer and some truck OEM applications and were sold under a number of brand names. Keep in mind that these lights don't have wires coming out the back, so in order to install them you'll also need a mounting bracket # A91BB to provide...

  • Should LED Trailer Lights be Mixed with Incandescent Trailer Lights
One main difference between LED lights and incandescents is the amount of power each one draws. I did a little research and found that if you were to have LEDs and incandescents on the same circuit, it would be too much power draw for the LEDs without using the proper resistors to compensate for the differences. It would be best to replace all the lights to one type or the other. However, if one of your stop/turn lights was LED and the other was not, that should be fine (provided both...

  • Looking for Boat Trailer Clearance Light to Replace Signal Stat 1500
According to my Optronics representative, the # AL91RB marker/clearance light you mentioned is a direct replacement for the Truck-Lite 15 series. The Signal Stat 1500 is how Truck-Lite refers to the same lamp in its LED version. A mounting bezel is available, part # A91BB for black or # A91CB for chrome plated ABS. If either one of these self-grounding bezels is used, use a # A91LW pigtail. If a non grounding bezel or bracket is used, a two wire pigtail like part # A46PB would be needed.

  • LED Trailer Lights for a Lark Trailer
Sounds like you have a T17 Torx bit that you are in need of. Your local hardware store will have this size. Try a Lowe's or a Home Depot. It is possible that you could replace your trailer light bulbs with LED bulbs, but most likely you don't have the correct housings that allow for that as most do not. I attached a page that has all of the LED trailer taillights we offer.

  • How Does the Red Side Marker Trailer Light # AL91RB Install and what Parts are Needed to Install
For the clearance light # AL91RB and the matching amber light you would install the lights in the appropriate bases like # A91BB and then use 2-wire pigtail # A46PB, plug it into the backs of the lights and attach the wires to the existing trailer wiring. The ground wire can be attached directly to the trailer frame. I have included a link to a video review of the clearance light for you.

For the # AL91RB trailer lights we have a couple options for mounting brackets. For a self-grounding bracket where the light is grounded through the mounting hardware I recommend part # A91BB. The gasket is included. For a mounting bracket that has an open back you need part # A91BOB.

  • Hyperflashing On Trailer Lighting with a 2013 Ford Escape Troubleshooting
Typically hyperflashing is a problem with LED's being installed on a vehicle that had incandescent bulbs. That problem usually does not occur with trailer wiring. Unless in your case the tow package wiring has it's own flasher unit separate from the vehicle taillights. Which if it does then you would need to replace all of the taillights of the trailer with incandescent bulbs or install load resistors on all of the taillight circuits on the trailer. For a load resistor you would want...

A 2-wire pigtail # A46PB will allow for electrical installation. The white wire on the pigtail is ground. If your original light used only 1 wire then its base provided the ground connection. • Troubleshooting LED Single Wire Clearance Lights
The reason your single wire LEDs aren't working is because you aren't using a ground. Most single wire lights like the Amber Clearance Light with Stainless Steel Hardware # 47-99-006 will have a separate ground like in the mounting hardware. The Thinline LED Clearance and Side Marker Light # AL91RB you asked from will ground through the mounting bracket # A91BB. The mounting with butyl tape is the issue. You need to have a ground connection for your clearance lights to work.

  • Can LED and Incandescent Lights be Mixed, Used at the Same Time on a Trailer
The lights don't have voltage or amperage regulators so it could potentially be an issue. However, I am in the minority around here about whether or not it would be a problem. Most others are certain that it would not be a problem so majority rules. I still believe that the potential for a problem is there if you mix LED and incandescent lights but it seems to work out for most people. But I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't at least mention the potential for a problem.

  • Troubleshooting Running Lights Blowing Fuse With Trailer Connected

  • Recommended Fix for Cargo Carrier Lights That Hyperflash
Odds are your cargo carrier's lights are the super-efficient LED type. These can cause turn signal hyperflashing as you describe. This does not cause any actual harm to anything but it can certainly be annoying. Your options are to try load resistors # P230004A-2 that will simulate the resistive load of a standard incandescent bulb, or to replace the cargo carrier lights with a set of incandescent lights such as # 20174.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Taillight Setup Where LED and Incandescent Bulbs are Both Installed
The adapter shouldn't limit current and should only add resistance to the connection so that it senses more of a load on it. I'd check to see how your lights are all wired. If they are all wired in series where the ground is connecting to the power of the next light then that is your issue as you can't mix LED and incandescent bulbs with this style of wiring. You need the lights all wired to the same power feed wire and grounding independently.
