Review of the Optronics Miro-Flex Trailer Tail Light

Today we are going to be taking a look at the Optronics Miro-Flex trailer tail light, Part Number STL22RB. Here on the right side, you can see our old incandescent light, and on the left side you can see our new Optronics Miro-Flex trailer tail light. It's a DOT-approved light with twelve LED diodes. It's a 6-1/2 inch oval trailer light that serves three functions, stop, turn, and tail light. It has a waterproof-sealed housing and it flush mounts with a grommet, which is not included. We recommend grommet Part Number A70GB.

Because it uses LEDs, it is more efficient and there are no bulbs to replace. It comes in a quantity of one, so if you're looking to replace both tail lights, which we recommend, you'll need to pick up two. Let's go ahead and show you how to put it in. First, let's go ahead and remove the light from the grommet. If you're not replacing the grommet, you're going to want to leave that in place. So, you can simply just pull it out.

If you need to use a flat-head screwdriver to do so just to give you an extra hand, that's fine too, just be very careful. Now with our light out, let's go ahead and disconnect it. Now if your connections are old or abused, like ours are here, you can go ahead and kind of clean them up a little bit, just whatever works, just to help give us a better connection for our new Optronics light. That looks pretty good. Now our new lights come pre-greased.

We will just simply line up the tab there, and then push it into place. Now let's go ahead and test it out before we put it back in the grommet. So we will do our stop, perfect, and then our turn, great, and then our tail light, excellent. Now we can just simply place it right back in the grommet, with a little bit of force, and we've got it. If anything should ever happen to the LEDs, they feature a lifetime warranty. And that's going to complete our look at the Optronics Miro-Flex trailer tail light, Part Number STL22RB.
