Old incandescent bulbs can dim over time and draw a lot of power. This light uses 10 red LEDs behind a clear lens to deliver a crisp, even glow for stop, tail, and turn functions while drawing very little current—only 0.243 amps for stop/turn and 0.046 amps for tail at 12.8 volts. The solid-state LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs, so there are no filaments to break or bulbs to replace.
If your trailer ever sees water, this light is built to handle it. The lens and housing are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that keeps out moisture completely. The product is fine. I ordered the wrong light and etrailer charged $xx postage for the return. I think this is excessive.
These trailer tail lights were a perfect replacement on the Lakota Horse trailer!
Easy to install although the lighting scheme is different than the tail light that I was replacing. This light lights up all 10 LEDs for brake and stop rather than the center 4 LEDs like my original light. Not a big deal for performance, but I will be replacing the other light as well so that they match.
I like this lens better than the original led units the trailer came with. The led's are the same number but with the clear lens they seem to show up bigger and brighter. The installation was straight forward with an all around better product.

I ordered the wrong lights but they did arrive fast . I’m waiting on a return UPS label. I had to look elsewhere for the lights I need. Sorry etrailers didn’t carry the lights I need.
Product was just as advertised. My mistake, I ordered the wrong one. I needed BUL78CB. I called and returned the wrong one, and the correct one is on the way. This light was difficult to locate, but ETRAILER had it. Thanks for the prompt and helpful service.

I would give it a better rating, but after about a month the right side had a few LED’s out. Then a few weeks later only a few are working. The left stayed working longer, but eventually that side also went out.
It was hard to find the light I needed on a search but found it. A section of the LEDs stopped working and had to reorder. So far the replacement is adequate. So disappointed the original light purchased was defective.
Fast, good price, looks like factory installed, works great. Put them on a 16 year old 38 foot pusher RV. Flush mount to flat surface with a hole in the center of mounting area for the three wires to pass through, very bright, an extra what I will call a snap of bright light when on the breaks.
Couldn't ask for better service. went to place where I bought trailer and they couldn't get me the part I needed because it is back ordered. It's now been 2 and a half weeks and still no phone call that part came in. etrailer only took about a week with standard shipping and very pleased cause I could replace light that quickly.
Great price for a good looking tail light. Very bright. It is not necessary to cut an oval hole to install it on the trailer. The wires come out of the center of the back of the light so you only need to drill a hole large enough for the wires to come through. I put a grommet in the hole to protect the wires where they come through the trailer.
I’ve ordered a trailer hitch, converters (4 to 5 pin, 5 to 4 pin), and a few other items. Merchandise already arrived in a timely manner and in good shap. In this case, I needed a new tail light for a motorcycle trailer that is no longer manufactured. I put the part number from the back of the light, and etrailer had it!

Product looks afit like I wanted it to. The only problem is that it is a stop, turn, running light. I wanted a clear Back up lights. Had to use them anyway. Great service, very polite and professional staff.

Daniel, thank you for your review. If you need just a back up light I recommend part # BUL12CFB. Optronics clear back up light part # BUL12CFB is 7-1/2 long x 3-1/4 tall x 1-1/8 deep. It is also DOT certified for backup light function. For this light you will also need a pigtail part # A49PB.
I added two additional tail/brake lights to my Lakota LQ for increased visibility and safety. The Surface mount lights are an easy install. Just a single half inch hole is enough to push the wires through using butt connectors and then splice less connectors to tap into existing factory wiring. The surface mount lights attach with self tapping screws.

1 light holding water and some leds burnt out. Thought i might have installed it wrong, after further checking it was installed correctly.
Called customer service the lady was great needed to make sure items would be delivered on time she assured me they would.
I purchased a couple of optronics led trailer lights and after 3 years one of the lights started losing some of the diodes.Talked to a rep. from etrailer and she told me that the lights were warrantied if the diodes failed. Sent the old one back and they just contacted me that the new one is on its way. Thank you Karen !

LEDs are usually very reliable which makes me think that the issue may just be that your connections have come loose. I bet if you double check all the connections and make sure that your ground wire has a direct, clean, secure connection, it will fix the problem.
