The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
Surface-mount lights install flat against the surface of the trailer, so a hole does not need to be cut into the trailer for the light. This type of light is installed using a flange or bracket that has mounting holes. And mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Surface mount with built-in flange - hardware not included. 3-Wire design.I purchased a couple of optronics led trailer lights and after 3 years one of the lights started losing some of the diodes.Talked to a rep. from etrailer and she told me that the lights were warrantied if the diodes failed. Sent the old one back and they just contacted me that the new one is on its way. Thank you Karen !

These were a perfect match for our 2015 lakota horse trailer, color code does not the trailer color code but its easy to figure out, white to white black to green red to brown
These trailer tail lights were a perfect replacement on the Lakota Horse trailer!
I would give it a better rating, but after about a month the right side had a few LED’s out. Then a few weeks later only a few are working. The left stayed working longer, but eventually that side also went out.

LEDs are usually very reliable which makes me think that the issue may just be that your connections have come loose. I bet if you double check all the connections and make sure that your ground wire has a direct, clean, secure connection, it will fix the problem.
Highly visible trailer lights
I added two additional tail/brake lights to my Lakota LQ for increased visibility and safety. The Surface mount lights are an easy install. Just a single half inch hole is enough to push the wires through using butt connectors and then splice less connectors to tap into existing factory wiring. The surface mount lights attach with self tapping screws.
I’ve ordered a trailer hitch, converters (4 to 5 pin, 5 to 4 pin), and a few other items. Merchandise already arrived in a timely manner and in good shap. In this case, I needed a new tail light for a motorcycle trailer that is no longer manufactured. I put the part number from the back of the light, and etrailer had it!

First off, my name is Loyd, not Harry,Secondly,shipping took way too long.The product seems fine and works as it should, however I'm unhappy with the amount of time that it took for my taillights to arrive.Also I had to splice my old harness into the new taillights. I was under the impression that the new taillights would come with the plug already on the taillight wires. Your online catalog is hard to navigate. I would love to find a black trim piece to install on my new taillights but can't find one and quite honestly I don't want to wait another 5 plus days for another product from you.

I apologize for the name mix up. We have fixed the issue. Please keep in mind that value shipping will go through USPS and can take several days for delivery. This item will need spliced into your trailer wiring but we do have a plug in option with item # STL88RCPG. Your light should have came with a black mounting ring around it. Unfortunately the only trim piece we have in this size is chrome with item # A78CB.
Nice bright lights
Product looks afit like I wanted it to. The only problem is that it is a stop, turn, running light. I wanted a clear Back up lights. Had to use them anyway. Great service, very polite and professional staff.

Daniel, thank you for your review. If you need just a back up light I recommend part # BUL12CFB. Optronics clear back up light part # BUL12CFB is 7-1/2 long x 3-1/4 tall x 1-1/8 deep. It is also DOT certified for backup light function. For this light you will also need a pigtail part # A49PB.
Fast, good price, looks like factory installed, works great. Put them on a 16 year old 38 foot pusher RV. Flush mount to flat surface with a hole in the center of mounting area for the three wires to pass through, very bright, an extra what I will call a snap of bright light when on the breaks.
Great price for a good looking tail light. Very bright. It is not necessary to cut an oval hole to install it on the trailer. The wires come out of the center of the back of the light so you only need to drill a hole large enough for the wires to come through. I put a grommet in the hole to protect the wires where they come through the trailer.
It was hard to find the light I needed on a search but found it. A section of the LEDs stopped working and had to reorder. So far the replacement is adequate. So disappointed the original light purchased was defective.
Easy to install although the lighting scheme is different than the tail light that I was replacing. This light lights up all 10 LEDs for brake and stop rather than the center 4 LEDs like my original light. Not a big deal for performance, but I will be replacing the other light as well so that they match.
Couldn't ask for better service. went to place where I bought trailer and they couldn't get me the part I needed because it is back ordered. It's now been 2 and a half weeks and still no phone call that part came in. etrailer only took about a week with standard shipping and very pleased cause I could replace light that quickly.
Product was just as advertised. My mistake, I ordered the wrong one. I needed BUL78CB. I called and returned the wrong one, and the correct one is on the way. This light was difficult to locate, but ETRAILER had it. Thanks for the prompt and helpful service.

I like this lens better than the original led units the trailer came with. The led's are the same number but with the clear lens they seem to show up bigger and brighter. The installation was straight forward with an all around better product.
I ordered the wrong lights but they did arrive fast . I’m waiting on a return UPS label. I had to look elsewhere for the lights I need. Sorry etrailers didn’t carry the lights I need.

Perfect fit for replacement of my non functioning lights. Can't say anything about longevity, but hoping they last years.
Not exactly the same light as original, but a great replacement the only difference is the wire colors. The old chrome ring fit on it great also.
