Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Custer Oval Stop, Turn, and Tail Trailer Taillight with the red lens, it's for a quantity of one. Now, this oval trailer light will provide the stop, turn, and taillight functions on your trailer. This is a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. As we mentioned, it has the red lens over 20 white LEDs, and the LEDs are nice, 'cause they make great replacements for incandescent lights, they'll last about 50 times longer, and they're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break. Now, this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.

I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power to show how bright the light is and how it works. It is a recessed mount design, it is designed to install into a grommet. Now, the grommet we do sell separately on our website. Just wanna pop up an insert and then show you what the grommet would look like, this would install into that, and then that would install into your opening. It does accept the industry standard 3-prong plug.

Again, if I pop up the insert, you can see there's the 3-prong plug that I have here already plugged in here that we're gonna demonstrate how the light works. It is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant. Few dimensions on this and then we'll go ahead and turn the light on. Get you the overall length, from one end to the other, right at 6 1/2 inches long, overall height, top to bottom, 2 1/4 inches tall, total depth on this light, the light itself is only about 7/8 of an inch. Now, there is a section that sticks out that the plug sticks in, so if you add all that, it gets you about 2 1/4 inches all the way to the back of that plug when it's installed.

So now, what we're gonna do is we're gonna go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power and you can see the light will come on. There we go. With our light on, I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see there's your taillight function, and then when you go and hit your brakes, you can see that it gets brighter. So once you apply your brakes, you get your brake light, and then when you go to your turn signals, you can see there's your turn signal function. I'm gonna go ahead and zoom out just to show you from a distance, there's the taillight, there's the brake function, and then there's the turn signal function.

Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this Custer Oval Stop, Turn, and Tail Trailer Taillight with the red lens..
