Question:

Need to replace Bargman Trailer tail light. The code on lens is R-SAE STIP2 A-SAE IP2P 97 DOT. I believe Optronics ST70RB is the correct replacement part-but please confirm -also need the grommet and connector plug/wire as well

The Optronics light that you referenced, part # ST70RB, is an exact replacement for Bargman light # 40-06-001. If you can find that part number on your Bargman light, then we can be sure that this light is the correct replacement. Even if your Bargman light has a different part number, # ST70RB will very likely work. The dimensions of the light are 6-1/2 inches long x 2-1/4 inches wide x 2-3/8 inches deep. If your current trailer light is approximately the same size, this light will work well for your trailer. For an LED light option, you can use # STL22RB. The code that you provided is actually the lens's rating, not the part number.

The rubber grommet for either light is part # a70gb, and the grommet measures 7-5/8 inches long x 3-3/8 inches wide x 1-1/8 inches deep. The 3-wire plug will be part # A45PB.
