Solution for Adding Lights to Thule T2 Bike Rack Both in 2-Bike and 4-Bike Configuration

Question:
I recently received an email concerning the Saris Light Bar. I have always been a little concerned about blocking the tail lamps on my Honda Pilot. During one RAGBRAI I saw a product from Auto Rack Lights that intrigued me, but I was looking for some that might be a little bit more stable. During a Google search after the Saris email I discovered a recommendation from Mike L about a set of lights and brackets. Will the wiring be long enough to reach my wiring harness or will I need an extension? Occasionally, I add the 2 bike extension to haul 4 bikes so permanently installing a set of the extension would make more sense then zip tying to the rack. An extension wiring harness will definitely be required for this installation.

The etrailer.com LED Light Kit # 98174LED and Bracket # BK70BB that you referenced seeing will work great for your Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack. It includes an 88" long offset y-harness (46" length for the driver side portion) that will be long enough to reach the Pilot's 4-Way when using the T2 in its 2-bike configuration and you could add a simple extension loop when you are extending out the rack in its 4-bike configuration.
We have these loops available in various lengths, such as the 12" # 9653P, the 48" # HM47115, or even up to a 10 foot extension with part # HM48235. I just recommend measuring the distance from the end of the 4-bike rack to your vehicle's 4-Way to see exactly how much length you will need.
I have also attached a link below that will take you to our full selection of these 4-Way extension loops that you can look through.
For just an extra set of the light assemblies themselves that you can permanently install on the 4-bike extension you will use part # STL22RB for the LED assembly and part # A70GB for the rubber grommet.
I have attached a few video reviews on these products that you can also check out.
