Features to know about

Brighter and More Efficient Lighting: 15-Diode LED Performance

When you want dependable, high-output lighting without the hassle of bulbs burning out, this Thinline LED tail light delivers. With 15 LEDs, it gives off a clean, bright red glow for stop, tail, and turn functions while drawing minimal power—just 0.2 amps for the stop light and 0.01 amps for the tail light at 12.8 volts. It’s a clear upgrade from older incandescent lights that draw more power and fade over time. Plus, there are no filaments to break or bulbs to replace, so you’ll spend more time towing and less time doing maintenance.

Tight Mounting Spaces Solved: Low-Profile Thinline Design

When space is limited or you want a sleek look, the low-profile design of this light fits the bill. Measuring 20-1/2" long x 1" tall x 3/4" deep, it mounts cleanly on 19-5/8" centers with surface mount installation—hardware not included. Its slim form makes it perfect for tight areas while still providing full visibility across your trailer’s rear.

Worry-Free in Wet Conditions: Fully Submersible and Sealed

If your trailer ever gets submerged or splashed, this light can handle it. The polycarbonate housing and lens are sonically sealed together into a single waterproof unit that keeps water and dirt out of the electronics. Whether on wet roads or backing into the water, the sealed design keeps the diodes protected from corrosion and failure.

Built to Last: Durable SMT Construction

Rough roads and vibration can ruin traditional bulbs, but not this one. The LED circuit board uses surface mount technology (SMT) that withstands shock and vibration far better than old-style assemblies while also improving heat distribution for longer diode life. Combined with its rugged housing and lifetime warranty on LEDs, it’s made to keep working season after season.

Straightforward Wiring: Simple Three-Wire Hookup

Wiring is as easy as it gets—white for ground, black for tail light, and red for turn or stop signal. The 16-gauge wires make solid connections simple whether you’re wiring one light or adding several in a row. DOT compliant and ready to go, this Thinline LED trailer tail light is all about making your setup both cleaner and safer.

Hey Sam. I'm going to get this taken care of for you!

I really like this light.

I wanted
a very very obvious tail light setup on my old trailer.

I mounted these about halfway up the door height. Now I have a modern looking tail light setup, that is insanely bright, mounted above traffic, and there's just no way to not see them.

Looks very good, and actually has an OEM feel (it does not look cobbled together on my old trailer).

Super easy install.

Very happy with this product.

Great Service! Replaced my bad LED Tail Lights on my box trailer. I decided to order these 20" LED and replaced the old 16" that my trailer came with. Fast shipping and great service! Thank You!

by:

Good addition for extra visibility..Easy Install

by:

Easy install, wanted extra lighting on the rear of our toy hauler.

by:

One of the few Tail lights that does not have a raised "button" on the back where the wires come out. Still it requires some modification to flat mount with double sided tape. Good product, bright as normal tail lights.

by:

Looks easy enough to install. I will do that after we get back from our trip next week.

by:

Thinline lamps appear to be very nice! Waiting for weather to improve enough to

The lamps are absolutely wonderful, very brilliant and add a good amount of safety two are trailering easy to install and good quality. We left our other lights on as well so we are doubled up in the back because they are LED They do not draw much power, and can be an additional lamp in the back of your trailer

@Gary happy to hear it!

by:

Product was as I was hoping for. Fast delivery and product was just as I expected. Install was an easy install and gives the rear of the trailer the added lighting that I wanted for other vehicles to be able to see my intentions when changing lanes and stopping. Am very satisfied with the purchase and if I need more lighting Etrailer is were I will purchase. All the lighting will be changed at some point including LED side lighting. Prices at Etrailer are some of the cheapest that I have found for quality lighting.

The lights are still operating as good as the day I installed them. They definitely brighten up the rear of the car hauler that I installed them on.

by:

Bought 2, one defective. It turned on but not bright . Contacted Etrailer for replacement. Excellent customer service, they sent replacement within 5 days. Looks nice 5 inch longer than the original

by:

I am thrilled to receive my product. It took me a month to find this one of such dimensions to fit into my custom Cadillac. Opening up the box and having it in my hands I am happy with the quality, color of materials and luminance.
Picture of passenger side; additional brake light. Driver side to follow

by:

The lights will be used to update the lighting on an older trailer. They will fit perfectly when installed next week.

by:

I haul two bicycles on the back of my RV trailer. I was always worried vehicles behind me wouldn’t see me when braking. Added these light and very happy from a safety standpoint.

by:

Nice product. For an RV, why are the leads so short?

by:

This is the light to meet my needs.

by:

I have a 2010 international trailer. I was unable to find exact match parts so I went to etrailer to find comparable parts. These 3 way tail lights were 5 inches longer, as posted in the description, than the ones that were on previously. I just drilled a new hole each for the wires and one screw and used one of the previous screw holes. These lights are bright and I was happy with the flush fit on the trailer.

by:

I have installed them and they seem to work well. I was a bit surprised that assuming that these are “additions” to an existing lights and that they need to placed a a distance from the originals, the length of the wires was very short.

by:

The LED's & base worked perfect. BRIGHT, BIG and very good quality. I now have better, safer rear light visibility when having the E-bikes on the back and now I have a trailer with a SMART in tow. The high mounted lights provide excellent safety.

  • Parts Needed to Add Third Brake Light to Trailer With LED Lights
Hey Andy! To add a third brake light to your trailer you will need the following: -Curt 2-to-3 Tail Light Converter for Towed Vehicles w/ Incandescent Tail Lights # C56196 -Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals # DI34ZR The converter will isolate the brake signal so your light only activates with the brakes, not the turn signals. Since this is designed for incandescent lights you will also need to add in the resistors so it works properly. Some customers have had success by pulling...

  • How To Correctly Wire The Optronics Thinline LED STL64RB To A Trailer
Yes you are correct in your assumption. On the Optronics Thinline LED # STL64RB, the Red wire is for turn signal, so this will go either the green or yellow wire on your trailer. The black wire is tail lights so this would go to the brown wire on your trailer. The white wire is of course your ground.

  • Parts Needed to Install 3rd Brake Light on Enclosed Trailer
The Optronics light best suited to your application as a 3rd brake light is their part # STL80RB which is a single-function LED light. • Can I Use the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light as a 3rd Brake Light for My 1995 Honda Odyssey?
Hello Chris, Yes, you can definitely use the Optronics # STL64RB light as a third brake light on your 1995 Honda Odyssey. Since the light only has two wires (one red and one black) it’s actually pretty easy to work with. The red wire is for power (when you hit the brakes), and the black wire is for ground. But here’s the thing: on older vehicles like yours, the brake lights and turn signals often use the same wires. That means if you connect the new light directly to one of those wires,...
