Question:
Hello, I had a question regarding which wires need to be spliced to run my L.E.D. lights as Turns and Brakes. I have the older model of the Sealed, 6-1/2inch LED Clear Oval Trailer Utility Light, 10 Diode Only difference is that it has red leds and the 3 prong outlet which connects to the 3 wire pigtail with white, red, and black wires. Im confused as to which wires connect to which because my brakes have: A green wire, a green and white wire, and a black wire One set of these 3 wiresG,GW,B runs to one bulb that controls the brakes, and one set of the 3G,GW,B wires runs to another bulb to control the turn signal. Thanks for the help!

To install the Optronics LED Trailer Lights, part # STL22RB, you will need to use the Straight 3-Wire Pigtail, part # A45PB. The Red wire of # A45PB will carry the turn signal function, the Black wire is for running lights, and White is ground.
If you are referring to installing the lights on your vehicle, you would need to use a circuit tester, part # PTW2993 to test the functions of each wire.
If installing on a trailer, I would recommend running new wiring from the lights to the trailer connector. For the # STL22RB that will be on the left side you will want to run the Red wire from the harness to the Yellow wire that is on your 4-way, the Black wire from the harness to the Brown wire of the 4-way, and the White wire should be grounded to a clean metal surface on the trailer.
For the light on the right you will run the Red wire from the harness to the Green wire of the 4-way, the Black wire of the harness to the Brown wire of the 4-way, and the White wire to a clean metal surface on the trailer.
I have linked a video review of the Optronics LED Trailer Lights, part # STL22RB and an FAQ on wiring.
