1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I am so glad to hear the tires worked out great for you! When mounting a tire with a fender, keep in mind that you usually want about 4 inches between the tire and the fender. This allows for maximum suspension travel so that your tire will not rub on the inside of the fender.

I completely understand your concern, John, it’s a great question and one that comes up often. I want to assure you that your tires are in excellent condition. The warranty begins from your purchase date, not the manufacturing date. It typically takes about six months for tires to make their way to the U.S., and during that time they’re stored in climate-controlled environments to prevent any aging or deterioration. Tires don’t actually begin to age until they’re exposed to outdoor conditions. I used to have the same concern myself, but after learning directly from tire manufacturers how their storage and dating process works, I felt much more confident, and I hope this helps put your mind at ease too.

The tire & wheel are holding up great. The thick galvanizing on the wheel shows no sign of any corrosion & the tire has been treated with 303 protectant to prevent UV damage.
