This sturdy spare tire carrier mounts to the trailer tongue in the front of the trailer. The offset design moves the tire and wheel up and away from the trailer frame to improve ground clearance. No drilling is required to install the carrier because the included U-bolts clamp the carrier to the trailer frame. The crisscross design increases the holding power of the U-bolts.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Got this for our new SeaDoo trailer. The dealer mounted the tire under frame with bolts so long as to require an open-end wrench to even have a chance to remove the tire. This angled bracket allows tire to be orientated vertically by the bow, and with bolts accessible to lug wrench or socket wrench. Wish I could get it to fit on my 1966 Alloy boat trailer with 18' boat. Need a little angle or drop.
Excellent bracket holding up very well. I had an unusual mount point and it worked very well.
This tire mount provides a nice way to carry a full size trailer spare. Easy to mount and works perfectly. We would purchase from trailer again.

This was perfect for mounting my small snowmobile trailer tire with a slight modification. I wanted a side mounted spare holder and there are not any that I could find for my trailer tire. I used this mount but modified it slightly using one of the hubs I replaced on my trailer to mount to this. See photos.

installed the tire carrier horizontally on my trailer, otherwise the tire hits the ground. very sturdy. a little disappointed in the weld job.

The nuts loosen up a couple times. I had to install lock nuts. Otherwise it works like a charm.
Finally my old utility trailer has a real spare tire mount. Easy install. Thanks!
Well made & should last a long-long time. Fits perfect in the location I chose on front of trailer. I used a bike locking device I already had lying around to secure spare tire to trailer.

After a year the spare tire Carrier is rock solid and looks pristine since it is galvanized. Well made!
It does what it is supposed to do. It holds my spare wheel and tire on my Bass boat trailer. Simple install. Just make sure you get a locking lug nut or cable lock so your spare stays safe and secure.

Both have been great, no issues.
Spare tire mount installed quickly and feels very secure on my boat trailer frame. Spare wheel is galvanized and should hold up well over the years. Appreciate the quick delivery guys: Etrailer ROCKS!
Appears well built and installed easily. Good galvanized coating. As others have said you may need to cut the bolts after installing so they don’t rub the tire.

All good. Minor surface rust on the threads that hold the tire, but the test is fine. I live near the beach where you quickly learn if a part has a good galvanized coating or not.
I was looking for a sturdy spare tire bracket for my 5x8 utility trailer that I pull quite often out of town. This one is very stout and affixed well to my trailer. It was very easy to install and a good design.
Glad I purchased this model. All the hardware was fine, no complaints. Only way it would fit my trailer was to turn it sideways and bolt it up with carriage bolts. Drilled 4 holes and it was done. Very pleased with it.
This spare tire mount works and fits perfectly. Thank you Kaylyn for recommending this one when the one I ordered was out of stock. This was super easy to install (under 5 minutes), looks great and works great.

I wanted to see if you could explain in more detail or send a picture of how the spare tire carrier is not working with your tire. Are you using it with the same tire that was in your previous order?
I need a place to mount my spare tire on my drop down trailer door and this looked like it would work and it worked great. Four 3.5" x 7/16" bolts and nuts and it was done. My experience with this etrailer and the people that work here was great.
Had a blowout on Sunday coming home from lake and had to leave my boat at friends house! That is not happening again! So I ordered this mount and a spare wheel and tire. Fits perfect and installation took 5 minutes!
The tire carrier was very easy to mount, took about 15 minutes from box to spare tire in place.

Year update: holding up terrific. Mounted it on the back of a ramp door. No bends, no rust, still holds good and tight. The bolts can be a little finicky but you almost never actually need your spare tire. Did not use the rail mounts for my application so I cant speak for them.
