Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

I got these to replace the bias 4.80-12 tires that came with the trailer. These are light years better. They have a modern automotive style tread, plus they are M speed (81MPH) rated! The gloss black wheels look cool too. They have a much wider and flatter contact pattern with the ground, and while slightly larger diameter, they fit the stock 12" wheel fender perfectly. I've got a lot more peace of mind towing my utility trailer at highway speeds now.

Replacement radial tires and rims are a great upgrade. Delivery was fast.
Tire seems to work as expected. However, the tire was mounted on the rim, inside out (tapered holes on opposite side from air valve stem). I have to crawl under the trailer to check the pressure or fill it with air!!!! Over the winter I can have them remounted. That will cost me $[XX] each (x2).

Fit perfectly on my 2022 Karavan 5x8 trailer. Still surprised the tires that came on it were rated LESS than what the trailer is rated for. Now I don't have to worry for a blowout since these two tires are more than the capacity of the trailer
I needed a spare tire for my yacht club trailer, it was an odd size and you guys had it right in line as I browsed down the wheel sizes on your site, including shipping I got it cheaper than going to the local Marine dealer. Now I need summer to get here.

Needed a spare since purchase of boat, many different tire a d rim sizes on trailers, found the correct one on your site, hole pattern and dimensions were right on.
My 5 x 8 carry-on trailer needed bigger wheels and tires so I can feel more secure out on the road these were the perfect answer look at that fit I am very pleased with my purchase thank you etrailer.
Good product at a good price. Tires have held up nicely but honestly the trailer sits all year and is only used twice a year back and forth 800 miles.

Great looking rim and definitely a better tire than what comes stock on my trailer. My trailer is brand new but came with Bias tires which I don't trust at all. Radial tires track much better, have a flatter tread which tracks better and are overall a stronger tire in my mind. The trailer came without a spare so I used one of the original Wheel as a spare .
I blew out my pop-up trailer tire and had another trip coming up in less than a week. These tires delivered within 2 days to my home without any extra charge.

The tires are a great upgrade to the standard "Carry On" trailer tire. Made a few modifications to the fender well and the results were what I was looking for. We've have taken my homemade square-drop camper out a few times now and rides really well.
Received and opened up box while UPS driver was till here. Paint already chipped off around lug nut holes on both rims. Don’t expect paint to last. 1 tire came scuffed. Price went down next business day while they were being shipped but etrailer will not issue refund of difference. Customer service is borane with “nice excuses and threats” when contacted
For the price, these seem like a great buy. I put these on my boat trailer to replace the bias, dry rotted tires that were on there. The fitment is great!
Excellent quality, fast delivery and product was in good condition. I used them to upgrade the factory tires that came with the trailer I used to build my teardrop trailer on. They made a big difference on the finished product!

Arrived on time and replaced my old bias ply tires perfectly. The black wheels have a great finish.
Smooth riding wheel and tire. Much better than the bias ply. I also put black lug nuts on these wheels and it really changed the looks of my boat trailer.
