The Yakima SkyLine Roof Rack gives you the solid support you want when loading up big adventure gear. The galvanized steel RoundBars are the backbone of the system and can handle up to 165 lbs when used within your vehicle’s roof load rating. Each bar is 48" long with a 1-1/8" diameter, giving you plenty of space for carriers and mounts. The black vinyl coating helps protect against corrosion so the bars stay looking sharp and strong trip after trip.
Everything you need for a full rack setup comes in one package—2 RoundBars, 4 SkyLine towers, 4 RoundBar adapters, and a custom fit kit for your roof’s fixed mounting points. Once installed, you’ve got a secure foundation that’s ready to haul gear right away. The SkyLine towers give the rack a solid connection to the roof, so you can trust it to stay put mile after mile.
You can add Yakima Same Key System lock cores (sold separately) to the towers for extra theft deterrence. With SKS locks installed, the whole rack system can be keyed alike with your other Yakima accessories—making it easy to keep everything secure without juggling multiple keys.
The round shape makes these crossbars compatible with a wide range of accessories and carriers that clamp around the bars. Whether it’s kayak cradles, cargo boxes, or bike mounts, this setup plays well with existing gear so you can reuse attachments you already know and trust.

We got a Yakima Roof Rack system with locks and fairing for a "lime squeeze metallic" (Green...) 2011 Ford Fiesta 5dr Hatchback. Received the package yesterday and set it up within about an hour.
Product works as advertised thus far. When you buy the yakima towers, you are required to purchase these as well to fit the rounder bars (I feel sure there are other adapters for other bar shapes). These should have come with the towers in my opinion, and I resented having to shell out more $$ to purchase these "must have" adapters to mount my bars. 3 star overall rating based on function, price. Delivery and packaging was top-notch through etrailer.

Bought as a pkg for my 2017 Golf R with Round Bars since I had a bunch of Yakima bike racks and a canoe gunwale rack for my old Yakima set up. Installation was easy with good instructions. All measurements from the Yakima site appear to be spot on.

Have been rocking my Yakima rack from etrailer.com for a year now. I am using rack in conjunction with a Tepui tent. Once I added the air deflector, I would say it's the perfect setup. The Yakima gives more clearance over the factory rack, so I was able to get my hands under it to secure the tent hardware. If you're thinking of upgrading your factory rack, I would not hesitate to use etrailer.com
roof racks showed up in great condition, and showed up as one package.... I should have ordered the J racks from here but I found them cheaper locally so Thule J racks compliment the whole setup and i am just about ready to hit the water :)

The installation of this rack system went very well, all of the instructions were easy to read and use. I have attached some pictures of our installation. The vehicle is a 1994 Honda Accord EX four door sedan
I've attachec a few pictures of the Yakima rack on my Audi Q7. It took a few attempts to find the right combination of attachments, but in the end, the pin attachments work best with the access points on the factory flush-mount rails. Great product!!!!!
Solid and easy to instal
Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.
These convertors will allow me to continue to use my hullavator system currently on round bars. The drop in feature of skyline towers makes the whole change out a snap. Certainly better than buying a whole new hullavator.
I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.
Products great. Service and delivery from you company was not acceptable. when I placed my order you missed your delivery date by five days. Not sure how this happened, but requested help was not available.

A bit disappointed that Yakima towers do not have a height adjustment so I can make both round crossbars level to keep my canoes from catching too much air on the highway. My vehicles roof flush rails are are curved vertically and change widths front to back. Had to Mickey Mouse the back crossbar to make it higher with PVC brick moulding.
Also the tower covers with the Yakima label don't clip on strongly enough so I had to add duct tape because I did not trust them to stay on.
