Question:

hello my 2023 Subaru Outback has a factory roof rack. The crossbars have no overhang. Is there an adapter that I can use that will allow me to use the Thule Hullavator? I read that the crossbar needs to overhang. what do you recommend?

The Thule Hullavator # TH898 will require crossbars that overhang the towers by 4' - 8". There is not any kind of adapter that is made for this purpose. Your best bet will be to replace the factory crossbars with aftermarket crossbars that have some overhang. Since your 2023 Subaru Outback already has the factory installed rails running front to back, you will be able to mount crossbars using these rails. I recommend the Yakima JetStream Roof Rack, which will consist of the following parts:

Or, if you want to utilize the factory roof rack, you can use a carrier like the Malone SeaWing # MPG113MD, which has a built in load assist.
