This Yakima SkyLine setup gives you everything you need to haul your gear. It comes with 2 JetStream crossbars, 4 SkyLine towers, and a custom fit kit. The system installs to fixed mounting points on your roof and provides a sturdy, aerodynamic base for carrying cargo boxes, kayaks, or other equipment. With a 165-lb weight capacity, it’s built to take on extra load while keeping your gear secure.
The JetStream crossbars are designed with an aero-style shape that helps reduce wind noise and drag when driving at speed. Rubber strips sit in the top channels and push down around mounted accessories—so there’s no need to trim them. Those strips help cut down on whistling and vibration, keeping your ride quieter and smoother on long drives.
Whether you’re heading out with a kayak, a snow carrier, or a cargo box, these aluminum crossbars can handle it. They work with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. That flexibility means you can use the same rack year-round for all kinds of adventures without buying new attachments every time.
The aluminum bars are tough enough for heavy loads while resisting rust and wear from the elements. Each component is made to last through years of hauling gear in sun, rain, or snow. For added peace of mind, you can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately) to deter theft when you’re parked or overnight on a trip.
Each crossbar measures 60" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall. The top channel dimensions are 7/8" wide x 7/16" tall with a 7/16" opening—plenty of room for secure mounting hardware. This system combines precision fitment with solid performance and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Yakima SkyLine Towers are well-designed and well-executed. They easily fit into the Yakima Landing Pads and form a tight fit when closed. And they also fit nicely into the Yakima JetStream Crossbars when following the Yakima instruction manual and various YouTube videos. I did run into a snag at first where I found the rubber seal on one SkyLine Tower getting caught on the JetStream Crossbar track, but after that I was careful not to let that happen with the other towers.
I find the appearance of the Yakima SkyLine Towers to match their level of quality in materials and design.
I have used Yakima products for decades. This was a slightly different application for me however with the existing roof mounts on the Honda Element. The landing pads work well, but I just don't trust the 2 small bolts and the plastic to metal butted connection. I would feel better at 70mph with a more 'fitted' attachment. The finished mount feels good. Time will tell. Otherwise an easy installation and a very good looking one. I like the quick detach towers. The full rack on an Element is noisy, nice not to have to hear it without a boat on.
