If you’re the kind of person who wants to load up for a weekend and still keep things simple, this setup makes life easier. The Yakima SightLine towers are designed for quick mounting and removal, so you can put the rack on when you need it and take it off when you don’t. With everything fitting cleanly to the flush rails, the process is straightforward—no hassle with tools or complicated steps.
Some roof racks can drone at highway speeds, but these JetStream crossbars are built to keep things quiet. Their aerodynamic shape helps air flow smoothly across the top of your vehicle, while the rubber strips in the top channels press down around your mounted accessories. That means no trimming strips and fewer gaps for wind to catch—so the noise stays low, even on long drives.
Whether you’re heading out with a kayak, skis, or a cargo box full of camping gear, these bars can handle it. The aero-style crossbars work with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars, giving you flexibility for whatever adventure you’re planning next. It’s one system that fits most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers.
You get a sturdy base that can handle real-world gear. The aluminum construction keeps weight down without sacrificing strength, so it’s ready for heavier loads like boats or a fully packed cargo box. Each bar measures 50" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall and supports up to 165 lbs—just remember to check your vehicle’s maximum roof load rating.
When you’re parked at a trailhead or campground overnight, it’s good to know your setup is secure. The rack is compatible with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores that deter theft of the rack itself. It’s an optional add-on but worth it if you want that extra layer of peace of mind while you’re out exploring.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
