What is the largest size platform that would look good on a mazda cx5? Im would like to haul 4x8 sheets of lumber.

Josh, it looks like your Mazda is about 70" wide and about 90" long, so something like the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Roof Tray # RR79AP would be the largest platform rack you could use.

This platform rack measures 71" long x 56" wide, and has integrated t-slots so you can attach roof rack accessories.

This rack does require crossbars, so if you don't have any yet you'd need to add some with:

- Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # RR92NP for a naked roof,

or the

- Yakima SightLine Roof Rack for Flush Rails # Y76TB for flush rails that run front to back.

I’m leaning toward the Yakima Y05044-39 for my 2019 mazda cx5. My mazda already has cross rails will I need anything else to secure this? Do you have any pictures of one of these mounted to a cx5?

@Josh The Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack for Crossbars # Y05044-39 is also a great choice! If you already have crossbars then you're good to go, the platform will mount right to them.
