I was looking for a way to shift my 5 th Wheel gooseneck hitch back b/c it was hitting my toolbox. Because I had a Ford with the factory installed hitch this was the only option. R Trailer walked me through what I needed and it worked great!

I have been pulling a 40 foot, 14,000 pound RV with this hitch without any issues. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great. Works as advertised with no issues.

Great product at a great price. Needed a gooseneck for occasional hauling but didn't want to lose my 5th wheel rails and this fit the bill. Had to loosen the bolts on one rail to get it to sit in place but was a 10 min fix. Had about 10k behind me so far through various terrains and it has done nothing other than what it is intended for. Can't say enough about customer service either, any question i had they had helpful advice and were nothing but nice. Would reccomend this product and ETrailer to anyone in need.

Hayden M.

I am still loving it. Use it very often with our horse trailer and stock trailer. Has been every where and done every thing i have asked of it with no issues. Still happy with the purchase and glad i went with this product.

Delivery was prompt. Curt brand is quality!! Installed today with minimal effort. Can’t wait to try it out.

Hardest part was removing the fifth wheel hitch from the cross bracket due to it being so heavy. The gooseneck adapter was a breeze to install and works flawlessly.

Quick drop into my 5th wheel rails and now I’m ready to pull a Goose neck trailer, couldn’t be easier.

2012 Ford F-250 - Fast shipping and easy to follow directions we’re included. Bed rails and side plates lined up perfectly. My bed has the line x bed liner so I added 1/8” for setting the first rail. I highly recommend using a step bit to drill your holes for the rails. No drilling was required on the frame. This was completed by myself in about 4 hours with no lift. Definitely could be completed faster with another hand or lift. Measure several times and drill once and everything will line up great.

Great hitch. Followed directions and excellent install videos from your website. First time installing one and had no issues. Fast shipping also.

Works well. Defiantly better than installing a gooseneck under the bed hitch. You can swap the plate over to a fifth wheel plate with ease. 2 birds one stone. Defiantly recommend

Works great still

Works better than expected with a short bed truck, the gooseneck trailer I have is not adjustable and is mainly for flatbed use only but with this hitch and rail setup I’m not concerned about rubbing on the bed sides or tailgate, I also have more than enough clearance for tight Maneuvers.

Good quality easy installation

Have not used yet but installation was simple and fit existing bed rails perfectly.

It works as advertised. I purchased couple weeks ago but resisted from responding until actually testing. Picked up new gooseneck trailer and loaded with way more weight than my skid steer could unload easily. No problems b

I had thought the gooseneck coupler was painted. The items seem to be good quality and really fast delivery. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go paint the item.

The product is ok, but arrived in a package that looks like it was dropped in my driveway from an airplane.

Works great with the curt fifthwheel installation kit.

It was a perfect fit and we were amazed how it was such an easy install and removal process. It's actually easier than our older trucks flip over ball gooseneck hitch.

This plate has been towing heavy for over 100k miles!!! Not one issue. Good product.

This plate has been outstanding! No issues and towing heavy all the time. I’m now at 206k miles and no issues.

Since being installed on my truck I have been able to rely on the hitch with zero problems, every time. Plenty of ease trading it out for my fifth wheel hitch and back again. Thank you for such a great product!!

I ordered the Curt gooseneck hitch plate from ETRAILER because I needed the hitch for a trailer I purchased.
I received the hitch in record time packaged nicely and in perfect condition.
The hitch mounted into my truck flawlessly !!!

Received the Curt bent plate gooseneck hitch in less than a week and it fit right in the existing fifth wheel rails. Really like this hitch and with it I am going to be able to salvage a trailer that hasn't been on the road since 1994 that would have ended up as scrap metal otherwise! Thank you etrailer for the prompt and reliable service.

Wow! I ordered this Sunday night watching a football game. Showed up Tuesday mid-afternoon! Super fast shipping! Took it out of the box and found it to be very sturdy. It dropped right in my existing rails without any problems. EXACTLY what I was after and what I thought it would be. I can now switch easily between towing a camper and a horse trailer. First experience with etrailer, and would highly recommend them to family, friends and you!

A cost effective product that is built just as well as the more expensive ones. Plan to use mainly to tow horse trailer. Appreciate the quick delivery.

Great quality and easily installed. Great investment.

dropped right into my existing 5th wheel brackets,,,pinned right up,,,

Super fast shipping and dropped right into my 5th rails. Didn’t even have to pull the 5th wheel hitch to install it. Took about 5 minutes. Heavy packaging ensued the hitch was in excellent shape.
I haven’t drilled the one bolt they recommend but will do it, should be simple and easy to get to.
Couldn’t be easier. Highly recommend!

  • How To Install Gooseneck Hitch on Truck with Reese 5th Wheel Rails
If you already have a set of Reese above bed base rails you can easily mount a gooseneck hitch using the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails part # 16055 which is what I recommend. You can't install any underbed mounts due to the fifth wheel rails but you can still use this adapter plate which is super cost effective and works well.

  • Will the Curt Gooseneck Adapter Fit in 5th Wheel Rails that a Pro Series Hitch fit In
This Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate # 16055 that you referenced would fit in the rails of your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 that currently has a Pro Series 15k Fifth Wheel installed in it. This adapter is confirmed to fit in Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese and Valley brand rails and would work well with, what most likely are Reese rails, that are in your vehicle. Check out the installation video I attached for you to check out also.

  • What are the Two Additional Carriage Bolts Used For with the Curt Gooseneck Plate
The carriage bolts, washers and spacer blocks that are included with the Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate, # 16055, only need to be used if you have a 4-bolt base rails installed on your truck. You can tell if you have a 4-bolt kit if you only have two carriage bolts holding each base rail to the frame brackets . I have attached a photo showing the difference between 4-bolt rails and 10-bolt rails. The two additional bolts will need to be installed in the center holes on the base rails if you...

Yes, the Curt gooseneck hitch adapter part # 16055 will fit perfectly into the rails you have in the bed of your truck that currently has a Pro Series 16k fifth wheel hitch. The rails your hitch and this adapter are designed to fit are the exact same size/dimension. I attached a picture of the adapter installed in a set of rails like you have now as well plus a link to a review video.

  • Does Bolt Need to Be Added to Rails When Using Curt Gooseneck Adapter # 16055
It is recommended to add a center bolt to the fifth wheel rails you install the Curt gooseneck hitch adapter # 16055 into. We don't sell a kit for this but a 1/2 inch bolt, washer and nut would be what you would need.

  • Will The Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate fit into Reese Fifth Wheel Rails on a 2004 Chevy Silverado
Yes, the Curt Gooseneck plate item # 16055 will fit into the Reese rails. All Reese, Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Valley brand fifth wheels use essentially the same rails and spacing so that gooseneck plates and fifth wheels are pretty much interchangeable. Remember, the tow capacity will be limited the tow capacity of your install kit and rails.

  • Dimensions of Curt 16055 Bed Rail Mounted Gooseneck Hitch
The Curt # 16055 gooseneck plate measures right at 23 inches long by 12 inches wide. The tabs that mount into the bed rails measure right at 22 x 10 inches front to back and side to side respectively, measured center to center. The plate is compatible with industry standard 5th wheel bed rails, as long as the inner-most slots are about 10 inches apart on center. The trailer ball will extend to right at 5 inches above the mounting rails. I've linked to a demonstration video for the # 16055...

  • Recommended Cost Effective Gooseneck Plate for Demco Above Bed 5th Wheel Rails
If you're looking for a gooseneck plate that mounts to standard above bed rails then we have some great options, the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails part # 16055 being our most cost effective option. I wasn't able to find the part numbers you provided but Demco makes two different above bed rails, one that runs horizontal in the bed and one that run vertical in the bed. So long as you have the horizontal ones you'll be good to go with the above.

  • Gooseneck Adapter Plate Recommendation for 2013 Chevy Silverado Short Bed
For your application I recommend picking up the 25K Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails # 16055 which features a 3" offset. The only time you really need an offset is if the trailer body is going to make contact with the truck cab during normal turns (up to 90 degrees). Since this is for a gooseneck trailer where there isn't a big body like what we see with a 5th wheel trailer you should be just fine with the 3" offset. Attached is a review video for you to check out.

  • Availability of Fifth Wheel Rail Kit to Gooseneck Adapter that Can Replace Pullrite Superglide Hitch
Pullrite Superglide hitches can be made to fit two different styles of fifth wheel rails. They have an industry standard rail kit hitch (or "ISR" as they call it), which we do have a gooseneck adapter available. For that you would want the part # 16055 which will fit those rails and give you a gooseneck ball. If you happen to have the other Pullrite style rails we won't be able to help with that.

The mounting tabs of the Curt item # 16055 Bed Rail Mounted Gooseneck Hitch are compatible with industry-standard bed rails from Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley and Husky. If any of these companies manufactured your bed rails, the Curt # 16055 would work great for you. Center of tab to center of tab, the mounting tabs are 10 inches apart, side to side. Center of tab front to back is approximately 22 inches apart, 21-15/32 inches to be exact. See the photo I've linked for you.

The "ISR" series uses the industry standard for fifth wheel rails. To tow a gooseneck trailer with your existing 5th-wheel base rails, I recommend looking at the Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate # 16055. This is a really nice product that is designed for use with above-the-bed fifth wheel rails, like what you have installed in your truck bed for your Husky 5th Wheel Hitch. • Will Curt Gooseneck Plate Fit in 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Rails
The Curt gooseneck plate # 16055 fits in industry standard above the bed 5th wheel rails so you will not have to move and remount the rails.
