The Excali-Bar III - the tow bar with the highest weight capacity in Demco's Victory Series - is tough and built to last. Sturdy, modular steel construction offers the strength you need to pull up to 10,500 lbs. Two hitch pin holes allow you to position the tow bar closer to or further from your RV, without sacrificing load capacity.
The black powder coat finish protects against the elements and flying road debris. And stainless steel inner arms provide additional durability and allow for smooth operation. Quality-engineered pivot points and hardware ensure both strength and maneuverability.
With independent, easy-to-maneuver arms, the Excali-Bar III makes connecting your towed vehicle to your motorhome a breeze. Unlike most tow bar arms that move together along a single plane, the Excali-Bar III tow bar arms operate completely separately from one another. A vertical bolt through the head of the tow bar keeps the arms positioned one on top of the other, allowing for a more fluid hookup. The arms pivot horizontally on this bolt, allowing for an unlimited spread so that you can hook up to base plates with almost any spacing. A built-in joint at the base of each arm allows for vertical movement so that you don't have to tilt the entire head when positioning the arms.
The arms telescope for easy extension to your base plate connection points, even if your towed car is not perfectly aligned with your RV. The self-supporting design of the arms also allows you to telescope one arm out and attach it to the base plate without having to worry about supporting the opposite arm at the same time. The arms lock into place when you're ready to tow, and the extra length of the arms allows for a better turning radius. By putting more distance between your motorhome and your towed car, your entire setup will become easier to maneuver so that your towed car will track behind your motorhome without running the risk of hitting your RV during turns.
In order to be compatible with Blue Ox base plates, sturdy brackets are included for installation on the ends of each tow bar arm. These brackets attach to the base plates using 2 easy-to-access pins and provide a tight, stable connection for a safer and more dependable towing experience.
The built-in trigger releases make it easy to disconnect the Excali-Bar III. Tension can build up in a telescoping arm when the RV and towed vehicle are not perfectly aligned. Engaging the trigger on each arm releases pressure and allows the arms to telescope freely, making it easy to disconnect the tow bar from the base plates, even if you are at a hard angle or out of level.
Each trigger release latch is positioned on the side of the tow bar arm. This allows for a comfortable yet firm grip, unlike latches that are positioned on the tops of tow bar arms, which can be difficult to grab. This out-of-the-way placement of the latches also creates a clean look for the tow bar.
Two straight, vinyl-coated safety cables provide added protection should the tow bar ever disconnect during towing. The cables are held off the ground by the included mounting clips. These clips keep the cables from dragging on the ground, preventing damage and tangling. Steel S-hooks with spring-loaded latches connect each cable to your towed vehicle's base plates and to your motorhome's trailer hitch.
The tow bar also offers a convenient storage rod for securing your coiled electrical cord (sold separately). The rod holds your power cord neatly out of the way and up off the ground.
Independent arm movement also allows for storage versatility. Easily store the tow bar out of the way, alongside your RV. The arms can be folded up to the right or to the left, or you can fold one arm to each side so that they are parallel to your motorhome's bumper. Just pivot each arm into position and a peg at the base of the arm will snap into a built-in tab, latching the arm in place so that you don't have to worry about it coming unfolded during travel.
For added protection, slip on the Demco tow bar cover (DM9523042 - sold separately) while the tow bar is folded up either to the left or the right against your RV.
Flat towing your vehicle is much more convenient than using a trailer or a tow dolly. These other options take up much more storage space, leaving you less room both at home and at the campsite. In addition, securing your vehicle to a trailer or tow dolly can be a hassle and more time consuming than hooking up with a tow bar.
There are 5 basic components needed when flat towing a vehicle: a tow bar, a base plate kit, a safety cable set, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.
The tow bar links your towed car to your motorhome. It attaches to the custom-fit base plates that install on the frame of your towed car. Safety cables ensure that your towed car does not separate from your motorhome in the event that your tow bar becomes detached. Tow bar wiring allows your towed vehicle's signal lights to sync up with your motorhome's tail lights, which is required by law in most states. Finally, the supplemental braking system - also required in most states - brakes your towed car when the brakes in your motorhome are activated, preventing wear on the motorhome and decreasing braking distance for your entire setup.

Hitch-mounted tow bar for Blue Ox base plates has independent arms with trigger releases that make it easy to connect and disconnect, even on unlevel ground. Built-in rise/drop minimizes need for a high-low adapter. Stores neatly against your RV.I think this brand of tow bar is the best out there, because the wire is supported and the safety cables are attached and it all stores on the motor home. I had a lighter weight Demco bar for eight years and really liked it. I bought this heavy tow bar because we will be towing a Ford F250 and needed the heavy rated tow bar. After owning a Demco for eight years, I would recommend this bar for a heavy super duty truck.
Due to Covid, we haven't used it yet so just assuming it will be excellent
everything i expected

Great price, great product. Wish Demco would put a locking hitch pin with their product. Pay the company that much money and you get a standard pin. I think Demco should send a locking hitch pin standard with all of their tow bars and a normal hitch pin with the cotter pin clip optional. Or, just include both, but definitely a locking pin standard with all tow bars.
